After the photographer's death, the widow published the group of photographs, which revealed the World's Ukrainian Massacre

Without this set of photographs, we may never know about a massacre, which was a "heinous crime" committed by the Germans against the Ukrainian people in World War II, no less cruel than the Japanese invaders committed in Nanjing, the capital of China.

On July 7, 1941, the Germans, who suddenly launched a fierce attack on the Soviet Union, broke into Ukraine, the most important gateway of the Soviet Union in Europe, and although the million-level Soviet army resisted to the death, the Germans were helpless in tactics, and finally on September 20, the Germans invaded the city of Kiev, and then about 650,000 Soviet troops were captured.

Although the Germans occupied Kiev and destroyed the Soviets' large-scale group army, the Germans did not sit back and relax, and in the early days of the German occupation, the Ukrainian people attacked the German occupation forces in a guerrilla manner.

Regrettably, however, this act of the Ukrainians, far from hitting the German troops stationed in Ukraine, gave them an excuse to purge the dissatisfied German occupiers. At the behest of the German leadership, the German army began to carry out targeted massacres of Jews and Soviet prisoners of war in Ukraine on the grounds of "revenge".

The site of the Holocaust was set in Babiya, a suburb outside Kiev, and at first in order to prevent unnecessary resistance, the German army, when concentrating the Jews, was a friendly face, telling the other side that they would find a comfortable place to live and that they would not be harmed in any way.

As for this commitment of the Germans, at first a large part of the Jews believed it and actively cooperated with the Germans to move.

It is worth mentioning that throughout the process of expulsion of Jews, the German garrison took into account the lack of manpower, and the local non-Jews of Ukraine who had coerced the surrender helped to serve the expulsion process and let them maintain order.

At this moment, perhaps the Non-Jewish Ukrainians involved never imagined that this act of theirs was sending their compatriots to death.

In the whole process of expulsion, there were also some Jews who found this sign to be wrong! Out of the instinct to survive, they wanted to escape from the team, but unfortunately, they died at the gunpoint of the Germans in an instant.

But the Jews, who obeyed the German arrangement, lived only a few hours or days longer than their fleeing compatriots. After arriving at the designated resettlement sites of the Germans, the Germans began to use machine guns, pistols, and rifles to resettle the Jews in batches.

After the resettlement was completed, they were taken in batches to the slaughter site, where they were carried out in a frenzied killing, completely without seeing them as human beings. The picture below shows the scene of the massacre, and among the corpses on the ground, you can also see German soldiers, who have collected their belongings after the killing is completed.

After the fact, incomplete statistics show that the Germans killed about 100,000 people, including Jews, Soviet prisoners of war, and anti-Germans, in this killing, which is an extremely terrible number on the stage of the entire world history, and too many people were tragically killed by Germany in World War II.

And because the Germans had carried out large-scale burning of the corpses before they withdrew from Ukraine to cover up the massacre, the 1941 massacre launched by the Germans was almost covered up in history.

Fortunately, there was a photographer who took all but the first photograph in the whole text, and he fixed the crimes of Germany forever. In 1950, the photographer's widow chose to publish this group of photographs, and the Ukrainian massacre was made clear to the world. The victims of the Holocaust were allowed to rest in peace with the prayers of the whole world.
