Germany's "new cultural center" – the Humboldt Forum

Although the epidemic has not yet completely passed, Germans can no longer wait to invite tourists from all over the world. In the past two days, international journalists from all over the world have been invited to visit Berlin, and one of the "highlights" is to participate in the Humboldt Forum, a large-scale museum project that opened last year.

It is located in the heart of the German capital, inside the reconstructed Berlin City Palace on Museum Island. Inspired by the spirit of the Humboldt brothers, it will become a centre of culture, art, science and education. This new form is the first of its kind in Europe.

On the first floor, you can see a permanent exhibition that tells the story of "the history of this place". Up to the second floor, you can see the "Berlin Globe" displayed in an area of 4,000 square meters... During the exhibition, visitors can also express their preferences or opinions through the bracelet scanning. The Humboldt Forum plans to host about 1,000 events a year and receive 3 million visitors.

The Humboldt Forum, which lasted for nearly 20 years, has gone through three prime ministers, nine construction ministers, four culture ministers and three mayors of Berlin, funded largely by private donations. The Germans wanted to make it a German version of the British Museum.
