In 1909, puyi, who was just three years old, ascended to the throne, and he was chosen by the dying Cixi for three reasons:

He ascended the throne three times and was ousted three times: in 1912, three years after his first ascension to the throne, he was forced to abdicate because of the outbreak of the Xinhai Revolution; and five years later, with the support of Zhang Xun, a braided army, he became emperor for twelve more days, and then he hastily abdicated under Duan Qirui's crusade, becoming a joke;
The last time he was emperor became the most disgraceful experience of his life, and under the manipulation of the Japanese, he became the emperor of the puppet state of Manchukuo and became a tool for invading China in the hands of the enemy.

In 1945, Japan was defeated and surrendered, and Puyi, as its puppet, naturally lost his patron, and in his vain attempt to escape, he was eventually captured by the Soviet Union, and did not return to China until five years later, and because of what he had done, he underwent nine years of labor reform, and finally was pardoned and released from prison in 1959.
After his release from prison, Puyi seemed a little confused, when he went to the household registration, the staff asked him about his residence, he reflexively replied to the three words "Forbidden City", but now he could not live in the Forbidden City, and finally he said his sister's address.
In fact, at that time, in order to avoid disasters and live without being disturbed, many Manchu Qing nobles changed their names, but this trick did not work in Puyi, although the Qing Dynasty no longer existed, but his identity was doomed to be the same as ordinary royals.
Later, Puyi entered the zoo under the arrangement of the state and married a woman named Li Shuxian. However, in his heart, he still couldn't forget his former career as an emperor.
One of Puyi's encounters, which people talk about the most, is that he went to visit the Forbidden City with friends after the founding of the People's Republic of China, and when he was about to go inside, he was stopped and asked to buy tickets. This used to be my home, and I have to buy a ticket when I come back? Puyi was greatly dissatisfied, but finally went to buy a ticket, and since then, he has never been to the Forbidden City since he was hit.
But few people know that Puyi once wanted to bring home the tablets of the eleven emperors of the Qing Dynasty before him, but he was also rejected, and the reason is also very legitimate, now these things are cultural relics of the state and no longer belong to Puyi personally, not to mention that when the Ming Dynasty fell, the Rulers of the Qing Dynasty returned the tablets of their ancestors to the descendants of the Zhu clan. Puyi's experience is worth sighing, but there is no need to give too much sympathy
There are many people who sympathize with Puyi because they see his loneliness, but the author wants to say that it is not necessary, his situation has surpassed that of the ordinary people of that era. Puyi himself was also well aware of the crimes he had committed. In 1959, when the news of the amnesty came, he did not think at first that he would be on the first list, because he thought that he had committed a serious crime and that no one would pardon him.
