FAW's overseas business covers 78 countries and regions

In 2021, China FAW's global layout will continue to accelerate, continue to improve the ability and level of multinational operations of enterprises, continuously enhance the influence of "Made in China", and polish national automobile brands. At present, China FAW's overseas business has covered 78 countries and regions in Europe, Africa, Southeast Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and other regions.

In April 2021, the hongqi brand was listed in Saudi Arabia on the first day of trading volume of 46 vehicles; in June, Hongqi once again exported 234 H9 and HS5 models to Saudi Arabia; in the same year, the Hongqi brand successively landed flagship stores in Jeddah, Dammam, Riyadh and other cities.

In September, Hongqi's pure electric smart SUV model E-HS9 was exported to Europe, and received more than 500 orders during the pre-sale period in Norway alone, achieving an important breakthrough in the overseas high-end new energy vehicle market.

China FAW's overseas strategic layout has created a model of mutually beneficial cooperation with the local area. FAW South Africa's Kuha plant is China's first self-operated overseas plant, covering an area of about 87,000 square meters and a total construction area of about 30,000 square meters, which has continued to provide high-quality talents for the local automotive industry since it was put into operation, directly creating 240 jobs and indirectly driving more than 1,500 jobs. With excellent product quality and service, China FAW continues to maintain the first position in the export of medium and heavy trucks' own brands to South Africa, and has achieved terminal sales of more than 1,000 vehicles for 8 consecutive years.

The person in charge of China FAW's overseas business said that at present, China FAW is focusing on the core market of the "Belt and Road", accelerating the layout and strengthening management in the order of brand, trade, investment and industrial chain, and promoting overseas undertakings to gradually form a new growth pole of China FAW.
