On January 9, Beijing time, the third ATP Cup of the 2022 season decided the final champion. Canada, led by Ariasim and Shapovalov, won the 2022 ATP Cup by a 2-0 victory over Spain in the final.

The first was the competition between the two sides for the second men's singles, with Shapovalov, who represented Canada, beating Spain's second single Busta 6-4, 6-3, and Canada taking a 1-0 lead;
