In order to commemorate the "May Fourth" Movement, enrich students' extracurricular cultural life, cultivate sentiments, promote positive values, strengthen patriotic education, inherit the spirit of "May Fourth", enhance collective cohesion and sense of honor, and further enhance the cultural and artistic literacy of young people, Dengzhou Hanlin School held a grand "Youth May Fourth, Vibrant Campus" chorus competition by grade from the afternoon of May 7 to May 8.
Liu Yuchao, the principal of our school, Chen Hongbo, the vice president and other leaders came to the scene, and the middle-level cadres of various departments of the school also came to guide the work. The choir competition was jointly sponsored by the Political and Educational Office and the Youth League Committee of the school, and the teachers who knew music and art in the first and second divisions of the senior high school exchanged grades as judges, and the students of the first and second classes of the senior high school participated collectively, with a total of 52 teams and more than 3,000 students enthusiastically participating.
On the afternoon of May 7th, the sun was blazing, and all the teachers and students of the senior secondary department gathered in the large playground to kick off the prelude to the "Youth May Fourth, Vibrant Campus" chorus competition. The students wore uniform costumes and showed their youthful vigor and vitality with different stage makeup. Each class took the stage in turn according to the order of drawing, and the competition was tense and orderly, until the evening, 26 teams completed a wonderful singing.
On the morning of May 8, all the students of the senior department gathered in the National Flag Square, and the chorus competition continued in the speech of Wang Lei, the director of the department. The students wore their own distinctive school uniforms, and interpreted the demeanor of youth with loud singing, and their young hearts fluttered with excitement, making the spirit of "May Fourth" shine more dazzlingly in the new era.
After fierce competition, the judges carefully scored, and finally selected 1 first prize, 3 second prizes, and 5 third prizes for each grade. These award-winning classes are: Class 9, Class 13, Class 2, etc. 4 classes, 21 classes, 2 classes, etc. They used their singing voices to show the demeanor of Hanlin students and sang the main theme of youth.
This choir competition not only enriched the students' extracurricular life, but also enhanced the cohesion and combat effectiveness of the class. The students felt the collective strength in the singing, and also strengthened their belief in serving the country and rejuvenating the country strongly.
Finally, Liu Changming, director of the Political and Educational Office, summarized and commented on the chorus activity. He encouraged the students to cherish their youth, study hard, and grow on the campus of Hallym to prepare for the future.
