The 2022 season of professional tennis has entered its sixth week of contention, with as many as five more tournaments kicking off this week after last Thursday's tour.
So what are the highlights of these five races?
ATP500 Cerrio de Janeiro
The Chinese youngster made his Tour debut
For domestic fans, the biggest focus of this week's event is the Rio de Janeiro race, in which the 17-year-old Shang Juncheng won a valuable regular wild card for the tournament.
This is shang juncheng's debut in a professional tour tournament, and his opponent is now no. 61 in the world, Martinez, which is also the first time that a Chinese youngster has taken on the top 100 master.
This year's Rio tournament was led by Italian star Berrettini and Ruud, who just won last week, with Schwartzman and Busta seeded No. 3 and No. 4, respectively.
ATP250 Sai Doha
Shapovalov sat down, and Murray went on again
Despite being only a 250-class event, the lineup for this year's Doha tournament was impressive, with Shapovalov, Agut, Bashirashvili and Cilic enjoying a first-round bye as the top four seeds.
Wild card player Murray also competed in the tournament, and his first-round opponent was Japanese player Daniel Taro, and the winner between the two will face The No. 2 seed Agut.
WTA500 Race Dubai
Grand Slam champions gathered, and China's two players folded the qualification tournament
WTA Dubai has an exceptionally luxurious line-up every year, and this year's women's singles regular draw has only eight Grand Slam champions including Kvitova, Kenning, Ostapenko, Svatek, Halep, Azarenka, Muguruza and Krejicova.
The luxury of the lineup can be seen in the qualifying matchups, and the list of players such as Teihiman, Towson, Grubic, Wandrowsova, Anisimova and so on makes this qualifier comparable to the international signing table.
Two other Chinese players competed in the qualifying round, Zhang Shuai and Zhu Lin, but the two lost to Pudintseva and Zanevska in the first round of the qualifiers and did not qualify for the next round.
ATP250 Sedra Beach
American players played together, and Operka played again
As a tour tournament held in the United States, there are as many as 14 players from home in the der Lac Beach regular draw, and it should be known that the entire men's singles main draw table is only 32 people.
Among the huge U.S. 14-man teams, the highest-ranked player is the No. 2 seed Opelka, who just won the championship last week, and the wild card Player Paul played as the No. 4 seed.
ATP250 Marseille
The luxury lineup, the crowd will be fiercely competitive
As a 250-class international event, the top four seeds in the men's singles of Marseille this year are Tsitsipas, Rublev, Aliasim and Karatsev, and such a lineup is still quite luxurious.
