OnwardMobility originally planned to launch a BlackBerry-branded 5G smartphone in 2021, but since it was first announced in August 2020, there has been no new news about the device.

2021 is over, and the phone isn't launched as scheduled. As a result, OnwardMobility published a post on January 6, saying that 2021 was an extremely challenging year, so it inevitably delayed the launch of the machine.

OnwardMobility said it still plans to move a "super-secure 5G enterprise smartphone" with a keyboard.

Like those BlackBerrys that TCL launched between 2016 and 2018, it will almost certainly be an Android phone and won't require the old BlackBerry service to run.
