From the reused Li Hongzhang has actually been wiping the buttocks of the Qing Dynasty, to be precise, wiping the buttocks of Empress Dowager Cixi, oppressed by the great powers, from the "Sino-British Yantai Treaty" on September 1, 1876 to the "Sino-Japanese Tianjin Treaty" on April 18, 1885, as well as the "Maguan Treaty" and the "Sino-French Treaty of Vietnam" and a series of treaties, Li Hongzhang has carried over.

The Qing government did not have so much money at that time, and demanded installment payments for 39 years, plus interest in installments totaling 980 million taels, which was converted into a total of 235.2 billion yuan. Among them, Japan can get 0.34 billion taels, Germany can get 0.9 billion taels, Russia: 130 million taels, France: 0.7 billion taels, The United Kingdom: 0.5 billion taels, Belgium: 0.08 billion taels, Italy: 0.33 billion taels, The Netherlands: 780,000 taels, Austria-Hungary: 0.04 billion taels, Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Norway and other countries: 430,000 taels.
Since the end of the Xinhai Revolution in 1912, the Qing Dynasty has also pulled down the prelude, but who will pay back the money owed before? Shortly after the fall of the Qing Dynasty, World War I ensued, and China joined in, as the victorious side, stopped reparations to Germany, Austria-Hungary, and Russia, and by 1926, French, British, Belgian, Italian, Spanish, and Dutch reparations were terminated.
But the only one still demanding compensation was Japan, and before the 1937 War of Resistance Against Japan, those in power were still compensating Japan for money, and it was not completely terminated until 1939, with a total compensation amount of 576 million taels of silver. Converted to about 100 billion yuan now, the silver released during the Qing Dynasty may now be worth more, so don't forget the national shame to revitalize China.
