During the dispute, the PLA soldiers on duty saw that the situation was not right, hurried to check it out, and then both were taken back to the public security substation, and 10 days later, the man named Ran Yizhi was formally arrested, so what did he do wrong? It turned out that he was one of the traitors who betrayed Sister Jiang and others.
Ran Yizhi, a native of Qilong Village, Zhongduo Town, Youyang Tujia and Miao Autonomous County, Sichuan Province, was born in 1909 in a local landlord's home, joined the Kuomintang in 1936, served as an officer in the Kuomintang Party Affairs Steering Committee of Youyang County, was responsible for the propaganda work in Youyang County, and often wrote articles in newspapers in which he wantonly denigrated the Communist Party and the Red Army.
At that time, there were two factions of Wang and Cai in Youyang County, and these two families fought very fiercely, and Ran Yizhi, as the backbone of the "Wang Faction", naturally became a thorn in the eye of the "Cai Faction", and it was not long before Ran Yizhi was arrested and imprisoned by the people of the "Cai Faction", and then he was imprisoned in a prison in Chongqing.
During Ran Yizhi's imprisonment in Chongqing, he concealed his Kuomintang identity and previous black history, deliberately approached the Communist Party members imprisoned in the same prison, and received a lot of help.
From 1939 onwards, Ran Yizhi became more and more comfortable in the Chongqing underground party, and by October 1947, Ran Yizhi was already deputy secretary of the Chongqing Municipal Party Committee and director of the organization, and in April 1948, Liu Guoding, secretary of the Chongqing Municipal Party Committee of the Communist Party of China, was arrested, and in prison he concealed his identity and only admitted that he was an alternate party member, and at that time, in order to save his life, he still betrayed the underground party member Li Zhongliang and others.
Subsequently, according to Liu Guoding's clues, the agents arrested Li Zhongliang, who in turn confessed to Yu Yong'an, and Yu Yong'an again confessed to Ran Yizhi.
On April 6, 1948, after Liu Guoding's arrest, Xiao Zekuan, secretary general of the Communist Party of China in Chuandong, issued a warning to Ran Yizhi and Li Weijia and others, and agreed by secret code to go to Beibei junction on April 17.
After stabilizing, Ran Yizhi gave an early warning to the underground party members and relevant comrades he was responsible for contacting, considering that Yu Yong'an was not yet a formal party member, he did not give Yu Yong'an a warning at the first time, and when he waited until April 15, Ran Yizhi remembered Yu Yong'an, he called Yu Yong'an's wife, learned about Yu Yong'an's situation, and also told her that she was going to Beibei and could not go to Yu Yong'an for the time being to withdraw money.
What Ran Yizhi did not expect was that because he did not inform Yu Yong'an at the first time, Yu Yong'an had already been arrested by the agents at this time, and even the phone calls he made were monitored, and he also made a big mistake, that is, he told the third party the location of his joint, and also allowed the agents to calmly lay traps.
On April 16, Li Weijia came to Beibei in advance, fighting with the enemy for a long time, so that Li Weijia was very cautious during this extraordinary period, he came here in advance to observe the surrounding environment, to see if there was anything wrong, so that he could change the location of the joint in advance, after checking and found nothing unusual, Li Weijia chose the location of the joint in the park.
At about 12:00 noon the next day, Li Weijia arrived at the joint site as promised, and Xiao Zekuan was also waiting there, but the two waited for a long time and did not see Ran Yizhi arrive, sensing that things might change, but they were not sure whether Ran Yizhi was arrested, and after some discussion, the two decided to leave first to find another way.
Speaking of Ran Yizhi, on the morning of the 17th, he came out of his father-in-law's house and went straight to Beibei, at more than 9:00 a.m., Ran Yizhi walked out of a small restaurant on the corner of the Beibei Stadium for breakfast, and bumped into Yu Yong'an, who was being held by the agents, and Yu Yong'an saw Ran Yizhi and hurriedly used the code he and the agents had discussed.
The agents immediately understood that the person in front of them was the target, and rushed up to catch Ran Yizhi, Ran Yizhi shouted while resisting, hoping that this would attract the attention of passers-by, so as to pass the news of his arrest, but the agents were not vegetarians, and when they saw Ran Yizhi's approach, they understood his plan, directly blocked Ran Yizhi's mouth and took him to a nearby hotel, opened an empty room and began interrogation.
At the beginning, Ran Yizhi still wanted to grit his teeth and stand up, but the agents covered his head with a quilt and beat him fiercely, Ran Yizhi could not stand the pain of flesh and skin, so he hurriedly begged for forgiveness and shouted for an explanation, but he did not say his real name and identity, only said that he was an ordinary party member.
The agents escorted Ran Yizhi back to Chongqing, and in the torture room, facing the fierce and vicious secret agent thugs, looking at the various torture devices that smelled of blood in front of them, Ran Yizhi could no longer support himself, the enemy had not yet been sentenced, Ran Yizhi took the initiative to defect, he took the initiative to confess his identity, and also said all the information he had of communist party members, And Liu Guoding, Li Weijia, Xu Jianye, and more than twenty other people were all confessed by him.

In July 1948, Ran Yizhi was awarded the rank of lieutenant colonel by the military command, and he returned to the Rank of Kuomintang and mixed with lieutenant colonel, but all this was bought by betraying his comrades, and it can be said that his ranks were all comrades' blood.
Subsequently, Ran Yizhi became an old businessman, publishing many articles in the Kuomintang newspapers, acting as the vanguard of the Kuomintang, and particularly cooperating with the Kuomintang secret service to sabotage the underground party organizations, and also using his personal statements to persuade the arrested Communists to surrender.
On the eve of the liberation of Chongqing in 1949, the Kuomintang was already a weakened state of affairs, and the agents also found a way for themselves, and Ran Yizhi was no exception, he quietly sneaked back to his father-in-law's house to hide.
After the liberation of Chongqing on December 1, Ran Yizhi was not willing to be lonely, and went into the city every day to inquire about the news, on December 2, Ran Yizhi ran to the registration office of the comrades who escaped from danger set up by the Chongqing underground organization with a thick face, found Luo Guangbin, who had just escaped from the slag cave, and asked for registration.
However, Ran Yizhi thought that he had once been the leader of the underground party and had contributed to the revolution, and he did not put his mind on surrendering at all, but instead wanted to find the heads of other underground organizations to exonerate himself.
On December 18, Ran Yizhi was wandering around the city as usual, and when he walked to the door of the Zhonghua Ludesheng Grand Theater, he was caught by a man who turned out to be Li Xiukai, deputy governor of the Southwest Special Zone of the Kuomintang Military Command, who had just surrendered himself and said that he would cooperate with the Platon Army to complete the screening of secret agents.
When he was walking around the street, he saw Ran Yizhi, he was not unfamiliar with Ran Yizhi at all, after all, this person had confessed so many of his own people in order to survive, and his heart was not an ordinary evil, in order to make meritorious contributions, Li Xiukai could not take care of anything else, and immediately went forward to grab Ran Yizhi and shouted: Ran Yizhi, you big traitor, follow me to the Ministry of Public Security to turn yourself in.
However, Ran Yizhi is not a fuel-saving lamp, he scolded Li Xiukai as a big agent, hoping to attract the attention of passers-by so that he can get out early, but before he can wait for passers-by, he was discovered by the PLA soldiers on duty.
While grabbing Ran Yizhi, Li Xiukai said: Comrade, he is Ran Yizhi, a great traitor, who has betrayed many of your comrades, but you can't let him run away, arrest him and take him to the public security bureau, I can identify him in person.
Ran Yizhi was very anxious, if he went to the public security bureau, then his affairs could not be covered, and then he pointed at Li Xiukai and said: Don't listen to him, comrade public security, he is a big spy, you must not believe his words.
Li Xiukai said: Ran Yizhi, you don't know it yet, I have already surrendered myself in the Public Security Bureau, and now I am in charge of screening secret agents, you big traitor, this time I see where you are going. The soldiers next to them also understood after listening to it, and then several people together grabbed Ran Yizhi and took him to the public security bureau.
Subsequently, Li Xiukai revealed Ran Yizhi's identity, and also said that he was one of the culprits who betrayed Jiang Zhujun, Li Qinglin, Tao Jingzhi and others, and in the face of the iron-like facts, Ran Yizhi also knew that it was useless to continue to resist, and confessed to all the crimes he had committed.
On October 27, 1950, Ran Yizhi was taken to the execution ground and executed by firing squad, a betrayer who paid his due retribution for his crimes.
