The hero Zhu Daonan, who can't exhaust the waves

Zhu Daonan (1902–1985)

The first thing that saw Zhu Daonan's (1902-1985) deeds was in the "Zaozhuang City Chronicle" character history. In the biography, I learned about the life deeds of famous people in various aspects of modern and modern Zaozhuang area, among which the deeds of zhu Daonan and most other outstanding figures were praised and praised, which deeply touched me. However, because the introduction of the deeds of the outstanding characters in the character history is relatively concise, it is difficult to understand Zhu Daonan's life in detail and thoroughly from the character biography. Later, I read the book "Big Waves And Sands See Real Gold" (published by the CPC Party History Publishing House in June 1994) in memory of Comrade Zhu Daonan, and I consciously benefited greatly.

Jointly edited by the Party History Office of the Zaozhuang Municipal CPC Committee and the Party History Office of the Shanghai Municipal Housing Management Bureau of the CPC, and foreworded by Comrade Zhang Jinfu, then state councilor, the book consists of 290,000 words, including 8 inscriptions by leaders, 12 historical photographs, and 4 selected essays by Zhu Daonan as appendices. The 39 reminiscences and commemorative articles in the book comprehensively reflect Comrade Zhu Daonan's revolutionary achievements and spiritual outlook from different levels and from various angles. When I first opened this book, I thought it was a good textbook for patriotic education and nostalgia education! The Zaozhuang area has a splendid culture of 7,000 years, which has produced a group of famous politicians, economists, writers, educators and military experts. Zhu Daonan is an outstanding figure in the military field rooted in this hot land, a generation of heroes who have grown up from the flames of war. When you read this book, you can't help but be moved by his special experiences and legendary stories. Reading "Guangzhou Uprising" was surprised to see that on Guanyin Mountain, through the mortar barrel carried by Gong Jinshou on his shoulder, it was Zhu Lao himself who shot out the enemy shell. I couldn't help but cover my mind, and all afternoon and evening I was immersed in the smoke of rumbling cannons, as if I had arrived at Guanyin Mountain, personally on the front line and fought side by side with Elder Zhu...

Let me look and think together to go deep into the book again, during the War of Resistance Against Japan, As the first political commissar of the Canal Detachment of the 115th Division of the Eighth Route Army, in the harsh environment of Japanese and puppet rule, he endured hardships and perseverance, and calmly and steadily led his troops to the north and south of the canal. They fought hundreds of battles against the Japanese army, killing and wounding nearly a thousand Japanese troops and more than 4,000 puppet troops by adopting various tactics such as guerrilla warfare, sparrow warfare, and blitzkrieg. Every battle Zhu Lao personally participated, and he always silently fired shells to repel the enemy's stubbornness. As the hero Liang Jianxia said in the article "Style Yiyi": "The canal detachment was formed from its predecessor to three ups and three downs. Guarded the only narrow passage from central China to northern Shaanxi until it joined the field army. At the moment of success or failure in the decisive battle, he almost always had an accurate hit." To this end, General Luo Ronghuan praised the canal detachment as "a team that dares to dance on the head of a devil."

Turbulent times are the furnace for exercising people. In that turbulent era, Zhu Daonan not only had to do a good job in the work of the party, the government, and the masses and the armed struggle, but also importantly, he also did a good job in the united front work. He was good at uniting people, committed to maintaining unity with Hu Daxun, Sun Bolong, Shao Jianqiu and other non-party figures, and under the care of General Luo Ronghuan, he jointly formed a canal detachment. He also used the method of changing posts and making friends to unite many rural intellectuals and leading figures in the rural local upper class, quite a few hundred, without exaggeration, and guided them to plunge themselves into the torrent of national self-help. From the article "Deeply Remembering the Revolutionary Predecessors" in the book, I know that my grandfather, Mr. Hua Shaobin, joined the revolution under the influence and mobilization of Zhu Daonan. In June 1939, my grandfather went into the mountains to participate in the anti-Japanese training class organized by our party, and after returning, he was appointed as the underground mayor of Zhouying Town on the north bank of the canal, sending intelligence to the canal detachment, providing military supplies, rescuing captured soldiers and cadres, and compensating the families of martyrs, and cooperating with the canal detachment to fight against the Japanese army. It can be said that my grandfather's embarkation on the revolutionary road is an excellent example of Zhu Daonan's united front work.

The hero Zhu Daonan, who can't exhaust the waves

Zhu Daonan, the first political commissar of the Canal Detachment, wrote a letter to his third son Zhu Pingping's "Remembering Bitterness and Thinking Of Sweetness" (partial)

Zhu Daonan is the glory and pride of the zaozhuang people, and we should be proud of the emergence of such an outstanding figure in our hometown. In his revolutionary career of more than half a century, Zhu Daonan had the ambition to serve the country with his heart in his heart, shouldered the heavy trust of the party and the people, crossed the arduous years of bloody struggle with the enemy, and experienced the glorious course of building a socialist new China. After liberation, he wrote his personal experience into a revolutionary memoir with strong artistic appeal, "In the Torrent of the Great Revolution", which caused a sensation in the country after it was published by the Shanghai Literature and Art Publishing House in September 1961.

The hero Zhu Daonan, who can't exhaust the waves

In 1962, Zhu Daonan cooperated with Shanghai writer Yu Bingkun to adapt it into a film literary script, which was made by the Pearl River Film Studio into a movie "Big Wave Taosha", which was fully affirmed and concerned by Zhou Enlai, Ye Jianying, Chen Yi, He Long, Xu Xiangqian, Tao Zhu and other national leaders when filming, and was later imprisoned by the "Gang of Four" and was not re-released until 1977. After the release, it was well-known to a wide audience, and the glorious images of Jin Gongshou and Gu Daming (based on Comrade Zhu Daonan) in the film have inspired generations of people to forge ahead. Zhu Daonan walked into the glorious history of the Communist Party of China with his great deeds, and history erected a monument for him.

The green mountains can't cover it, after all, it flows east. When the gunfire of the Guangzhou uprising became a distant history, when the war on both sides of the canal was replaced by green trees and red walls, the endless sound of the canal waves was still telling the heroic story of the canal detachment, and the people of Zaozhuang, the ancient city of the canal, would never forget that between the mountains and rivers of the Land of Lunan, there was a hero who could not be exhausted, he was the son of the Grand Canal - Zhu Daonan.
