On January 7, 2012, a new public welfare brand "Music Afternoon Tea" debuted at the Shanghai Concert Hall. At noon on weekdays, citizens and tourists enter the South Hall of the Concert Hall at a low ticket price to enjoy a small salon-style concert and feel the poetic dialogue between the heart and music. Today, this cup of "music afternoon tea" has been fragrant for 10 years, and the comfort of one hour at noon quietly moisturizes the life of "Magic Capital", making the musical atmosphere here more and more intense.
Cadillac Shanghai Concert Hall public welfare brand "Music Afternoon Tea" ushered in the 10th anniversary of the special project on the 7th. Outstanding young artists from the past "Music Afternoon Tea" platform gathered here to celebrate the tenth birthday of "Music Afternoon Tea" with the audience.
Helping local musicians "set sail"
In 2012, when the performing arts market tended to be diversified, helping local musicians "set sail" became the first fragrance of "music afternoon tea".
An important turning point in the musical career of young tenor Guo Zizhao in Italy occurred in the "Musical Afternoon Tea". Guo Zizhao, who was still a junior at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music at the time, participated in the first vocal performance of "Music Afternoon Tea". Although it is only a brief appearance, for a student in the "ivory tower", it is already a moment of "dream into reality".
The surprises didn't stop. In May of the same year, a concert of "Future Musicians" was staged at the Shanghai Concert Hall, and Guo Zizhao took the stage again and presented two solos, and his excellent performance made the Shanghai Concert Hall once again see the infinite potential of this "future star". Five months later, Guo Zizhao took the stage for the third time and completed the transformation of a new musician with a solo concert.
"A total of 15 pieces were sung, all of which were extremely artistically demanding, which was a huge challenge for me, with 980 people present that day." Guo Zizhao sighed that this great affirmation is largely due to the good reputation of the Shanghai Concert Hall in the hearts of Shencheng music fans, as well as the support and assistance of "Music Afternoon Tea" to young musicians, "That was the first time I went out of the school to meet the audience alone, and it was also the first time to step on the world-class stage as a protagonist, which was not only a professional breakthrough, but also affected my thinking about my career." ”
"Nourish" the cultural life of the magic capital
As a public welfare brand, the original intention of "music afternoon tea" has never changed. According to the data, in the past 10 years, a total of 1927 "music afternoon teas" have been staged, and more than 6,300 young artists have appeared on this stage, with about 12,000 songs staged and 200,080 audiences. In addition to the regular special programs, there are special celebrations every 100 shows and anniversaries, as well as summer theme weeks, winter vacation lecture series and so on.
It not only provides a multi-dimensional platform for outstanding young artists to grow and display, but also forms a development model of two-way mutual training between the audience and the artist.
Chen Yibai, a young cellist, remembers that when he was a child, when he watched a performance at the Shanghai Concert Hall, although the atmosphere was very strong, many people did not know much about the etiquette of watching the performance; in recent years, he obviously felt that the Shanghai audience was getting better and better in this regard. "In the past, everyone loved to listen to concerts, but now they not only love to listen, but also listen, and the musicians and the audience have slowly reached a tacit understanding of 'do not applaud between movements'."
In Chen Yibai's view, behind this tacit understanding is the overall improvement of the musical literacy of Shanghai audiences, "the concert is not only a performance on stage, but also an important part of the audience offstage, and the positive interaction between the two can promote a successful concert." It is undeniable that the small space of music lunch tea has silently cultivated more and more professional audiences and senior music fans who understand music for the big stage of the concert hall. ”
Nowadays, in the South Hall of the Shanghai Concert Hall, there will be beautiful notes coming out at noon on weekdays. In the European elegant space, some people sit in groups of three or five around a small round table, some people bury their bodies in the back sofa and listen to their ears, and some people sit in the side seat and look forward to watching. After the song is sung, the applause rings out, and there is the growing love, the understanding and respect for music, and the happiness of the cultural life of the "magic capital"... (End)
