Yesterday, the Dakar Rally competed for the longest stage of the event, the stones on the stage revealed its fangs, a number of international racing giants have folded, and the No. 213 car has been tragically hit by three punctures and barely returned to the finish line. At night, Zhang Guoyu studied tactics with the convoy while also asking his master, Mr. Atia, for driving techniques in the desert. After clarifying the temperament of the BJ40 car, the "Shuangyu Combination" re-entered the arena of S5.
Stage 5 starts and finishes in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, and covers a distance of 560 kilometers, of which 346 kilometers are special stages. In the fifth stage, two-wheeled and four-wheeled motorcycles will take different routes with cars and trucks, but all the runners will face similar tracks, compete around Riyadh, and face challenges such as gravel roads, sand dunes and other terrains.

According to the relevant arrangements of the race, Zhang Guoyu/Pan Hongyu of the Beijing Off-Road Team departed from the 98th place today. The rear parking space means that the driver will encounter a lot of slow cars, trucks, and overcome the dirt rolled up by the front car to achieve overtaking and moving forward. Fortunately, the tactics and techniques developed by the Beijing off-road team last night worked quite well. During this period, Zhang Guoyu had a clear goal, surpassing more than 30 cars along the way, and finally temporarily ranked 21st in the overall results list to complete the S5 competition.

There is a lot of smoke and dust in some places on the track, it is still a little difficult, 29 kilometers away from the finish line or accidentally exploded a tire, otherwise the results can be faster! ”

The team is also satisfied with the performance of the "Shuangyu Combination" today: "After five tire bursts in two consecutive stages of S3\S4, the team will enter a high-pressure state both at the driver level and the technical team, and we have also encountered the lowest starting place since the two years of competition, and the atmosphere of the race is of course getting tense. But when I saw the drivers' state before they set off today, I felt that everyone was ready, both mentally and mentally. Today we can see that the race rhythm of the No. 213 is back on track, which proves that the team's sleepless efforts are valuable! ”
