IT House January 7 news, if you have a unique complex for smartphones with a slide-out full keyboard, then Planet Computers' just-launched Astro Slide 5G smartphone may interest you.
Unveiled at CES 2022, the smartphone's unique hinge design gives the machine a backlit physical full keyboard that slides out from under the phone's display. The phone can be installed on Android 11 or a Linux distribution, and Planet Computers is working to support the Sailfish operating system.
The Astro Slide 5G features a 6.39-inch AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution and Gorilla Glass 3 protection, with a 13-megapixel front-facing camera. The phone features the Tianji 800 5G chipset with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage that can be scaled with microSD. In addition to having a QWERTY full keyboard, there are also programmable keyboard keys to quickly open applications or switch between system functions.
The Astro Slide 5G has a 48-megapixel Sony sensor on the back, as well as a fingerprint reader. The phone comes with dual nano-SIM card slots, as well as two USB-C ports (one on each side) and a headphone jack. The battery has a capacity of 4,000mAh, supports 30W fast charging, and is Compatible with Qi for wireless charging.

The Planet Astro Slide 5G is only available in a single blue and costs £862 (about 7,447 yuan), and deliveries are said to begin in March.
