Apple's M1 Max can be said to be one of the best mobile-grade processors in the past, but Intel's counterattack is indeed coming fast, and its just released 12th-generation Core mobile-grade i9 processor will drop apple M1 Max in one fell swoop. And the R9 5900HX also suffered a critical hit.
Intel 12th Generation Core i9-12900HK is a 14-core 20-thread processor, including 6 performance cores and 8 energy-efficient cores, built using Intel 7 process technology, Turbo once again soared to 5GHz, L3 cache reached 24MB, and supported 4800MHz DDR5 memory, 5200MHz LPDDR5 memory.
According to official tests, in terms of productivity applications, Intel's 12th Generation Core is ahead of Apple's M1 Max and significantly ahead of the R9 5900HX.
However, in terms of power consumption, the i9-12980HK reached 115W, and the M1 Max was only 60W.
