Tesla can be said to be a company that will gradually improve its vehicles over time, and many people hope that they can do the same for convenience features such as ventilated seats, and those who have been concerned about the Tesla Model 3 since the early days will remember that when the all-electric sedan was first released, the car did not have the option to heat the rear seats, and in March 2018, Tesla said that the rear seat heaters can be activated by wireless software updates.
While the ventilated seat has always been one of the differentiators of Tesla's flagship Model S sedan and Model X SUV from mainstream models, the Model 3 and Model Y, Tesla does tend to introduce some of the features of its flagship model to its mass-market cars. The most notable of these is the Biological Weapons Defense mode, which was previously unique to model S and Model X (a feature used by vehicles to maintain hospital-grade air levels in the cabin) and is now finally widely promoted on model Y.
Coupled with the fact that this year is likely to be a year of dramatic changes for the Tesla Model Y, as Tesla's Berlin Gigafactory in Germany and the Texas Gigafactory in the United States are ready to announce its official start of operations by producing the Model Y, the Model Y is also expected to receive many key improvements, including the Model Y made at the Berlin factory will have three new color options (namely Abyss Blue, Mercury Metallic Paint and Deep Red), and the Model Y produced at the two new factories in Berlin and Texas The new battery pack will be used (the Model Y from the Texas factory will use Tesla's custom 4680 structural battery pack).
