On January 7, CNMO learned from foreign media that Jeff Wilcox, former director of Mac system architecture at Apple, left his job and jumped to Intel.

Jeff Wilcox has been Apple's Director of Mac System Architecture for 8 years, overseeing Mac system architecture, signal integrity, and power integrity. Before joining Apple, Wilcox served as the chief engineer of PC chipsets at Intel, and many netizens directly called "repeated jumps". Wilcox moved to Intel this week as CTO of Design Engineering, responsible for the architecture of all SoCs across all Intel customer bases.

Wilcox has not yet affected the development of Apple's chips after leaving Apple, if Apple's chip transformation goes well, Apple may launch new Mac Pro and iMac Pro this year. Intel CEO Pat Geisinger has previously said he hopes Intel will build better chips, compete for Apple's business, and plan to secure Intel's products thanks to Apple. In addition, Pat Geisinger noted that Intel has a more open and "vibrant" ecosystem.
