Today in the exhibition hall on the first floor of the Anhui Museum, I watched the "Splendid Western Regions, Xinjiang Silk Road Cultural Relics Exhibition", which is too interesting, and immediately wrote and shared with you.
Xinjiang, located in the northernmost region of western China, is an important transportation hub on China's ancient Silk Road, where Eastern and Western cultures converge.
As far back as the pre-Qin period, the Xinjiang region maintained commercial exchanges with the Central Plains.
This Silk Road cultural relics exhibition, the exhibits are very rich, including pottery, metalware, textiles, woodware, paper, Buddha statues, glassware and other cultural relics unearthed in Xinjiang, especially the official documents of the Han and Tang Dynasties and the jianmu documents in various languages, which I have not seen in other museums, which are very precious.
Bronze and iron
During the Xia, Shang and Zhou dynasties, there was a jade trade between the Central Plains and the Western Regions, and the silk of the Central Plains was introduced to the Western Regions during the Warring States period, indicating that there were economic exchanges between them.

As the gateway of Chinese civilization to the west, the river valley oases and mountain basins north and south of xinjiang's Tianshan Mountains began to enter the Bronze Age and the early Iron Age. (The picture shows the lion and tiger gold leaf ornament, and the animal-shaped plaque is the favorite and common ornament of the northern nomads)
Crouching bronze samurai figurines, samurai head wearing a high-top cover hat, the upper body is naked, there is a short skirt tied around the waist, there are round holes in the hand position, it is speculated that there is an object inserted, and the whole image is very powerful and powerful.
The winged beast looks at the brass ring, which is very artistic, and it is speculated that it may be an artifact used in the sacrificial ceremony. The horns, mouth, and eyes of the beast's head are all beautifully shaped.
In the upper left corner is a wolf sheep pattern wood carving box, the box is made of log material, rectangular in shape, without a lid.
The wolf's abdomen is carved with an antelope head, which means that the sheep has been eaten into the belly by the wolf.
A dialogue between bronze and faience
Judging from the archaeological findings in Xinjiang, the bronzes and pottery in the ruins of the site are often moved out at the same time, which shows the state of coexistence between emerging bronze technology and traditional technology.
The patterns on these pottery are very artistic.
The pattern is more special
Have you found that these faience pottery is also somewhat similar to the faience pattern road of the Hexi Corridor of the same era?

The wool textile unearthed from here is exquisitely crafted, which confirms that Xinjiang has a very developed wool textile processing industry as early as this period.
It can be seen that this is the result of agricultural culture and nomadic cultural exchanges, the western region in the pre-Qin period was mainly the use of wood processing and other handicraft production throughout the north and south of the Tianshan Mountains, after the Han Dynasty, there were many more of these exquisite wool textiles.
In the Tang Dynasty, the contract to rent vineyards.

Some official instruments at the time reported.
Among the exhibits, there are also some Buddhist treasures, such as Buddhism after it was introduced to Xinjiang, and integrated with traditional Chinese culture, developing a unique Western Buddhism.
On the Silk Road, Yuwen, Milan, Loulan, Guizi and Gaochang were all once very powerful Buddhist cultural centers.
Buddhist culture and art can be glimpsed from here.
