Since the founding of the People's Republic of China, there has only been one person who has been crowned as a general twice, and he is Hong Xuezhi. In 1955 and 1988, Hong Xuezhi was awarded the rank of general, which is also a unique honor after the founding of New China, to praise and affirm his outstanding contributions to the party and the country. Today, his wife is still alive, and his children and grandchildren are working hard to serve the country.

Born in Anhui Province, Hong Xuezhi joined the revolution when he was less than 20 years old, and later became a party member, a very famous general in China's modern history, working hard from platoon leader to the top, and slowly becoming the most solid force in the revolutionary ranks. After joining the army, he participated in many battles. At that time, the revolutionary ranks were very hard, there were not enough bullets, he often fought with the enemy empty-handed, his body was scarred, and he almost lost his life several times.
In every battle, he bravely rushed to the forefront, and his combat style was also very bold, and his team achieved many successful battles. Later, Hong Xuezhi entered the school again to continue his studies, and during the War of Resistance Against Japan, he became the vice principal of the fifth branch. In 1939, he led a large army to successfully break through the Japanese encirclement, even if he crossed six major provinces, the entire team did not suffer a single casualty, it can be said that his life was basically spent in the war.
It was because of his outstanding contributions during the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression that he was awarded the rank of general in 1955, and although the rank was withdrawn for policy reasons, in 1988 he regained his glory again. Mrs. Hong Xuezhi was also an old revolutionary, and during the Long March, the two became acquainted, and zhang Wen's optimistic and positive spirit touched Hong Xuezhi.
The wedding of the two was also completed during the Long March, Hong Xuezhi and his wife Zhang Wen jointly supported through the storms of the revolutionary years, although their married life was not smooth, and they also encountered tribulations, but they were not defeated by the tribulations. When the country was in trouble, Hong Xuezhi never gave up his ideals and still treated his work with a positive attitude.
The admiral died of illness in Beijing in 2006, and his wife inherited his legacy and continued to face life with an optimistic attitude. Today, Zhang Wen is more than 100 years old and his body is still very healthy. And Hong Xuezhi's two sons also inherited the good genes of their parents.
The eldest son was infected by the perseverance of his parents, knew how cruel the war was, and was determined to study hard. Although he did not follow his father's path of joining the army, he did a very good job in politics and later became the governor of Jilin Province. The second son was born to be a soldier, loved and was good at exercising his physique, very suitable for being a soldier, so he also chose the same path as his father, served as a deputy commander, and was finally awarded the major general.
Hong Xuezhi spent his whole life on the battlefield, he made great contributions to the establishment of New China, and after the establishment of New China, he continued to provide advice for the country, and when faced with national reform, he could still maintain an optimistic attitude and finally reaped his own glory. It is precisely because the motherland has such a dedicated person as Hong Xuezhi that it has a new life today, and as a descendant, we should be grateful for the kindness of our predecessors and never forget the contributions made by our predecessors to the country.
