Going to Fujian to see Tulou was once a plan for the winter vacation in 2007, but for some reason it could not be done, and the trip to Fujian during the winter vacation of 2008 finally gave me the opportunity to enter this fabulous tulou world.
Go to Fujian to see tulou can choose Yongding and Nanjing two places, after Yongding Tulou more and more noisy, Nanjing Tulou has become my choice for this trip to Tulou. Nanjing County is one of the most concentrated areas of Tulou in Fujian, which can be called the "Tulou Kingdom".
Flying saucers falling from the sky, mushrooms growing on the ground, and the world's unique and mythical mountain village architecture patterns. This is a vivid portrayal of the Nanjing Tulou. Located in the northwest of the Zhangzhou Plain, Nanjing County has a long history and a long history of culture. The county has more than 1,300 large-scale tulou, integrating mystery, nature and simplicity, reaching the harmony and unity of heaven, earth and people. Nanjing Tulou is an important part of Fujian Tulou, Tianluokeng Tulou Group, Hekeng Tulou Group, HeguiLou and Huaiyuan Lou have been included in the "Fujian Tulou" declaration of world cultural heritage list.

My donkey friend Xiaosun and I went to Nanjing by shuttle bus from Xiamen to Nanjing, and after arriving in Nanjing, we met with Teacher Jian of Shuyang Primary School introduced by the shadow friend Ah Yuan, and Teacher Jian drove us into one tulou after another. The first tulou we walked into was the "Tulou Museum".

And your building is the jinshi building. There was a jinshi here. The attraction of this building is that it was built on swampy ground. There is a swamp in the council chamber in the middle of the building, and it is a little soft to step on it, which shows that the building was painstakingly built at the beginning. HeguiLou is a square tulou, Jane's family residence, was built in the 10th year of Qing Yongzheng (1732), sitting west facing east, covering an area of 1947.3 square meters, 5 floors high, 21.5 meters, 28 rooms on each floor for a total of 140 rooms. The building is built on the basis of 220 large pine stakes in a square circle, and the whole building is like a large ship moored on the swamp, although it has been strong and stable after more than 200 years.
In the inner courtyard, there is a 159.1 square meter "three rooms and one hall" private school, where there was once a jinshi.

Hakka Tulou is the world's unique world house, built with raw soil but ingenious, safe and sturdy, windproof and earthquakeproof, warm in winter and cool in summer, yin and yang harmony, if you do not witness it with your own eyes, I really do not believe that these earthen walls have gone through hundreds of years of vicissitudes but stand majestically.

Huaiyuan Building
One of the "World Heritage" declaration points is located in Kanxia Village, Meilin Town, Nanjing County. Circular Tulou, Jane's family residence, built in the first year of the Qing Dynasty (1909), sitting north and facing south, covers an area of 1384.7 square meters, 4 floors high, 14.5 meters, 34 rooms per floor, a total of 136 rooms.
The most eye-catching thing about Huaiyuan Building is that the ancestral hall in the core location of the inner courtyard is the place where the children of the family read, "Si Shi Room".

It is located in Hekeng Natural Village, Dianjiang Village, Shuyang Town, 58 kilometers away from the county seat of Nanjing. Including Chaoshui Lou, Yangzhao Lou, Yongsheng Lou, Shengqing Lou, Yongrong Lou, Yonggui Lou and other 6 square tulou, Yuchang Lou, Chungui Lou, Dongsheng Lou, Xiaochun Lou, Yongqing Lou and Yuxing Lou and other 6 round earth buildings and pentagonal Nanxun Lou a total of 13. One of the earliest chaoshui buildings was built in 1549. The Hekeng Tulou Group is known as the Xianshan Pavilion and the Seven Stars of the Big Dipper.
These tulou are magnificent, distributed in the narrow area on both sides of the small river in the shape of a "D", and are the most densely distributed area of tulou buildings in Nanjing County. Looking down from above, the huge tulou towers are dotted among the green mountains and beautiful waters, adding a magnificent scenery to the field.
Shunyu Lou, the king of Tulou
Built in 1937, Shunyu Building, 16.9 meters high, 86 meters in diameter, 72 bays per floor, a total of 288 rooms on the fourth floor, plus 80 bungalows in the middle of the patio, the whole building has 368 rooms, each room in the building for a day, it takes more than a year, which shows the size of this building. At present, Shunyulou is home to 40 families of the Zhang family, with more than 250 people. Standing in the middle of the patio is like standing on the field of a stadium, while a circle of cloisters resembles a stadium stand. Imagine what a prosperous scene it would have been when the building was full of people!
Taxia Village
Because it was a shuttle bus to Nanjing, after seeing the Hekeng Tulou Group, it was late in the day, and that night we stayed in Taxia Village, which is known as the beauty of Zhouzhuang in southern Fujian. Overlooking the village of Taxia, nestled between valleys.
There is water to be spiritual, and this is the case in the village of Taxia, where a small stream flows leisurely in the middle of a small village. The empty small valley, the perfect combination of architecture and water, makes Taxia Village a beautiful village with the water town of Jiangnan.

The Zhangjia Ancestral Hall in Taxia Village, located on a hillside, was built in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, and is one of the most complete ancient ancestral hall buildings visible in China. In front of the ancestral hall stands 23 stone dragon flagpoles, each of which is more than 10 meters high. Each flagpole represents the people in the family who have made greater contributions to the country.
Yuchang Building (Crooked Building from East to West)
YuchangLou is located in Xiashan Village, Shuyang Town, Nanjing County, and is built by the mountains and rivers. The appearance of this tulou is no different from other tulou, however, if you walk into the tulou, you will be surprised to find that the branches of the entire tulou corridor are crooked and oblique, which is really frightening to see.
According to the residents of the building, this building was originally built by the five surnames of Liu, Luo, Zhang, Tang and Fan, so the entire tulou was divided into 5 units with different numbers, each unit set up a staircase, and each family lived in a unit. The building is a 5-storey structure, each floor has 54 rooms of the same size, the ground floor is the kitchen, and the kitchen has a well with a depth of 1 meter and a width of 0.5 meters, and you can pick up the scoop to draw water from the well.
It is said that soon after the completion of the building, the support of the corridor in the building was tilted from left to right, with a maximum tilt angle of 15 degrees. There is a legend that the reason why such a result occurred is because when the building was built, the owner did not entertain the building master carefully, and the building master deliberately caused it, whether it was a man-made or technical accident, which can no longer be verified, and it has thus become another spectacle in the history of human architecture! Although it has withstood hundreds of years of wind and rain and many earthquakes, it is still the same, there is no danger, it is: east and west for hundreds of years, the wind and rain are finally unharmed.

Tianluokeng Tulou (commonly known as "four dishes and one soup")
Located in the western part of Nanjing County, Shuyang Town, Shangbancun Tianluokeng Natural Village, 60 kilometers away from the county seat of Nanjing, located at an altitude of 787.8 meters above sea level on the slope of the lake, there are 111 households, 464 people, all of whom are Huang clan people, mainly engaged in farming.
The Tianluokeng Tulou Group is an important part of the declaration of world cultural heritage. Located in Shangban Village, Shuyang Town, Nanjing County, for the Huang family settlement, tulou group consists of 1 square building (Buyun Lou), 3 round buildings (Hechang Lou, Zhenchang Lou, Ruiyun Lou) and 1 oval building (Wenchang Lou), Fang Lou Buyun Lou in the center, the remaining 4 around, according to the mountain layout, surrounded by mountains, high overlook, like a blooming plum blossom dotting the earth, the foot of the mountain looking up, then like the Potala Palace majestically living on the mountainside overlooking the world. The exquisite architectural combination of the Tianluokeng Tulou Group constitutes a superb scenery of the ingenuity of humanities and nature, giving people a strong ornamental impact and breathtaking.

There is another thing to do when I go to Nanjing Tulou this time, that is, Teacher Jian will lead the way to visit a child sponsored by the shadow friend Ah Yuan, Chen Xiaoling. It is almost the New Year, taking the opportunity to go to Tulou to bring 800 yuan of subsidies to the children who have just lost their fathers not long ago, hoping that Chen Xiaoling can have a good year with her elderly grandmother, her mother who is not in good health and her newborn sister.
