According to European automotive news, former Dyson CEO Jim Rowan is about to succeed Hakan Samuelsson as president and CEO of Volvo Cars.

Volvo said in a statement that Rowan, 56, will officially join the company on March 21 this year. Samuelson, 70, will continue to serve as chairman of the electric vehicle brand Polestar Polestar Polestar to complete the company's listing process.
According to the data, Rowan served as the CEO of Dyson from 2017 to 2020. During his tenure, Dyson also planned to develop electric vehicles, even "burning" 500 million pounds. However, Dyson later cancelled the electric vehicle project on the grounds that it was not commercially viable.
Volvo says Rowan is a valuable asset to the company in terms of digitalization, supply chain and innovation.
