At the beginning of a new year full of unknowns, let's take a look at the big changes that have been identified!
About tigers
This year, Tiger will be inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony will take place on the eve of the Players Tournament at PGA TOUR headquarters in Pontevedra Beach, Florida.

Items donated by Tiger to the World Golf Hall of Fame exhibit include four Grand Slam championship trophies – three from 2000 and the 1997 Masters championship trophy.
New rules for 2022
This year, the PGA Tour enforced a new rule that the maximum length of No. 1 wood is 46 inches (about 116.8 centimeters). Previously, club lengths were up to 48 inches (121.9 cm). This is a rule that allows any tour to apply in its tournament system.

Another new rule is that players and caddies will use "committee-approved" yardbooks that include only general information about the green terrain. Players can add notes in the yardbook, but must be based on first-hand observations on the pitch or broadcast on television. Players may not use tools or instruments to measure the slope of greens, and may not add information obtained through these tools to the codebook.
"The purpose of this rule is to allow players and caddies to return to reading the status of the course on the greens simply through their skills, judgments and feelings, as well as information obtained through experience, preparation and practice," the PGA Tour wrote in a memo sent to players.
About the venue of the Grand Slam
In addition to the Masters, which has always been held in Augusta, the other three Grand Slams have been held back to where they have been separated for several years.

Since Tigers won the championship in 2007, the PGA Championship has returned to the South Mountain Country Club. The U.S. Open has also returned to brooklyn country clubs since Curtis Strand won in 1988. The 150th Edition of the British Open will be held at St Andrews Stadium, the 30th time St Andrews has hosted the event.
About the schedule changes
Perhaps the biggest change is that PGA Tour players will spend 14 days in Scotland this summer. A week before the British Open, the Genes Scottish Open will be held from 7 to 10 July at the Revival Club in North Berwick, Scotland.
As a development of the PGA Tour and strategic alliance DP World Tour, the Genes Scottish Open is now jointly certified by the two tour systems.

Another change in the schedule is about the Farmers Insurance Open. The tournament will be completed on Saturday, January 29, local time, aiming to avoid the NFL's league championship game.
About fedex cups
The FedEx St. Jude Championship will be the first of three playoff games, followed by the BMW Championship and the Tour Championship. The 2022 BMW Championship will be held at the Wilmington Country Club in Wilmington, Delaware, marking the PGA Tour's first visit to Delaware.

The overall prize money for the FedEx Cup was increased to $18 million. The total FedEx Cup prize fund in 2022 increased by $15 million to $75 million.
About the Presidents Cup
The U.S. team has turned its eyes to the Presidents Cup on September 20-25 at the Charlotte Quail Valley Club.

After the 2019 VICTORY IN MELBOURNE, the return of the U.S. team to this familiar stadium on home gave the home team a geographical advantage. Davis Raf III will lead the United States to the team again after captaining the 2012 and 2016 Ryder Cups. Ruff's team will adopt a new selection system. There are only six automatic places. The captain will select the remaining half of the team.
