At the Australian PGA Championship, Morgan led by 11 strokes to win the championship to set a record

On January 16, Beijing time, Australia's 22-year-old Jed Morgan made history at the Royal Queensland Golf Club and won the Australian PGA Championship.

Held a year after the event went through a COVID-19 shutdown, Jed Morgan caught five birdies on Sunday, swallowed three bogeys and shot a 69 to finish with a four-round score of 262 (65-63-65-69), 22 under par, equalling the lowest record in the tournament while setting the record for the biggest odds: 11. The previous record was an 8, held by Hale Irwin and Greg Norman.
