Due to steering and braking system problems, Dayun recalled 15 pure electric vans

Recently, Dayun Automobile Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulations in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Administration of the Recall of Defective Automobile Products and the Measures for the Implementation of the Regulations on the Administration of the Recall of Defective Automobile Products. With effect today, the Company will recall 15 units of some 4×2 pure electric vans manufactured from September 28, 2018 to December 5, 2018.

Reason for the recall

First, the rear wheel brakes carried by the vehicles within the scope of this recall are two-way self-increasing brakes, and there are quality problems (material problems) in the internal brake linings, the wear and tear of the actual vehicle is faster, the replacement cycle is short, and the automatic adjustment mechanism cannot adjust the clearance in time after the rear wheel brake lining gap becomes larger, resulting in weak brakes and unstable performance, increasing the risk of collision of the vehicle, and there are safety hazards.

Second, the vehicle's steering oil pump controller seal protection performance within the scope of this recall is unstable, and the sealing failure will occur after a period of operation of the actual vehicle, resulting in burnout after the controller terminal seepage, resulting in the steering oil pump motor not working, and then losing the steering power function, increasing the risk of vehicle collision, and there are safety hazards.

Workaround

Dayun Motor Co., Ltd. will replace the improved rear brake linings for vehicles within the scope of the recall (1) free of charge to eliminate safety hazards.

Dayun Motor Co., Ltd. will replace the improved steering oil pump controller for vehicles within the scope of the recall (2) free of charge to eliminate safety hazards.

The recall was carried out in the context of the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) initiating a defect investigation. Affected by the investigation, Dayun Automobile Co., Ltd. decided to take recall measures to eliminate safety hazards.
