Intel and Geely will launch a Level 4 autonomous electric vehicle in China in 2024

Nikkei Chinese reported on January 5 that Intel and its automotive semiconductor subsidiary Mobileye announced on January 4 that they will jointly develop pure electric vehicles (EVs) that support "Level 4 (Level 4)" (fully autonomous driving under certain conditions) with Geely Holding Group and be listed in China by 2024. It is said that this will be the first time in the world that a passenger car sold to consumers will be equipped with Level 4 functions.

The announcement was made at an online press conference at CES, the consumer electronics show currently held in Las Vegas, USA.

Intel invested in The Krypton's operating company in 2021 through its venture capital firms, and the two camps have already established partnerships in the field of driver assistance systems. The january 4 announcement is to expand the scope of cooperation to the field of autonomous driving, and it is planned to promote the level 4 car jointly developed by the two parties in China before promoting it globally.
