Nikkei Chinese reported on January 5 that Intel and its automotive semiconductor subsidiary Mobileye announced on January 4 that they will jointly develop pure electric vehicles (EVs) that support "Level 4 (Level 4)" (fully autonomous driving under certain conditions) with Geely Holding Group and be listed in China by 2024. It is said that this will be the first time in the world that a passenger car sold to consumers will be equipped with Level 4 functions.
The announcement was made at an online press conference at CES, the consumer electronics show currently held in Las Vegas, USA.
Intel invested in The Krypton's operating company in 2021 through its venture capital firms, and the two camps have already established partnerships in the field of driver assistance systems.
