Following the official listing of Volvo Cars, Li Shufu will make a wave in the capital market. The online car market has learned that the three car companies under Geely Holding Group, Polar Star, Lotus and Extreme Kr will IPO independently from this year. Among them, Polarstar will be listed in the United States through the SPAC model, which is scheduled to be completed within this year, and the valuation of the company after the listing is about US$20 billion (about HK$156.5 billion), which is higher than the current market value of Geely Automobile (0175.HK) (HK$123.9 billion).
In February, James Andrew, executive director of brand communication and public relations at Lotus Automotive, said that Lotus Technology is focusing on the research and development of its pure electric models and is currently evaluating listings in the United States or Hong Kong (not excluding other regions), but its specific financing scale and valuation have yet to be determined.
In March last year, Geely Automobile and Geely Holding Group cooperated to establish a krypton company, which is registered in the British Cayman Islands. Li Donghui, CEO of Geely Holding Group, said that this move is to make it easier to open up the international market, and Extreme Kr will seek overseas listing in the future.
From the group's integrated operation to its independent listing, the subsidiary is expected to further develop and grow. Volcar B, for example, reported SEK 65.2 on the day of listing, up 23% from the IPO price, and as of press time at SEK 68.88, up 30% from the IPO price. After the independent listing of the three major brands of PoleStar, Lotus and Extreme Kr, the company's market value is expected to rise sharply.
