The Chinese Calligraphers Association (CHINESE CALLIGRAPHERS ASSOCIATION) is a people's organization composed of calligraphers of all nationalities in the country under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, a national professional organization composed of state-level calligraphers, seal engravers, calligraphy theorists, calligraphy educators, calligraphy activity organizations and management workers, and a group member of the Federation of Chinese Literary and Art Circles.

The Chinese Calligraphers Association was founded in May 1981. Since its establishment, calligraphy has made great progress in artistic creation, academic research, calligraphy education, foreign exchanges and organizational management.

The Chinese Calligraphers Association has 35 group members and more than 8,000 individual members.

The main tasks of the Chinese Calligraphers Association are: to implement the party's literary and artistic line, adhere to the "two for" direction and the "double hundred" policy, inherit and carry forward the tradition of Chinese calligraphy art, strive to improve the level of calligraphy art on the basis of popularization, care for and support the mass calligraphy activities in China, carry out liaison, coordination, service and business guidance for members, carry out theoretical and academic research; hold calligraphy exhibitions, organize the creation and selection of calligraphy works; host the "Chinese Calligraphy" magazine and the "Calligraphy Newsletter"; carry out calligraphy education. Promote the popularization of calligraphy; carry out special activities in conjunction with major activities of the party and the state; safeguard the creative achievements and legitimate rights and interests of calligraphy artists; extensively unite calligraphers and calligraphy enthusiasts throughout the country, continuously develop and expand the cause of calligraphy, and effectively make a good link and bridge between the party and the government and calligraphers and calligraphy workers and calligraphy enthusiasts.
