According to the WeChat public account of the Shanghai Municipal Health Commission "Healthy Shanghai", at 0-24:00 on January 4, 2022, 17 new confirmed cases of imported new coronary pneumonia were reported through the joint prevention and control mechanism at ports. Eight new cured and discharged cases were cured and discharged, including 3 cases from the United States, 1 case from Ukraine, 1 case from Congo (Brazzaville), 1 case from the United Kingdom, 1 case from Papua New Guinea and 1 case from Hungary.

Asymptomatic infected people 2,36 years old, asymptomatic infected people 3,58 years old, asymptomatic infected people 4,33 years old, all of whom are close contacts of asymptomatic infected people found in the field investigation reported on January 3, that is, they were put under centralized isolation medical observation, during which the nucleic acid test was abnormal, and they were re-examined positive by the Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention. After consultation with municipal expert groups, asymptomatic infected persons are diagnosed with a comprehensive epidemiological history, clinical symptoms, laboratory tests and imaging results.

At present, 45 close contacts of the above-mentioned asymptomatic infected persons in the city have been traced, and all of them have been implemented for centralized isolation and observation. Places where asymptomatic infected people have been active have been terminally disinfected.

As of 24:00 on January 4, 2022, the cumulative number of imported confirmed cases abroad was 2,805, 2,570 cases were discharged from hospital, and 235 cases were treated in hospital. There is currently 1 suspected case to be investigated.
