At the beginning of the new year, Taiwan authorities leader Tsai Ing-wen once again provoked the mainland and blatantly tested the mainland's bottom line; after she delivered the so-called "New Year's Day speech," the voice of "reunification of the motherland" suddenly exploded on the island, and the People of Taiwan have launched actions, and Tsai Ing-wen cannot stop it.
As everyone knows, the root cause of the current tense situation in the Taiwan Strait lies in the DPP authorities' "resistance to reunification by force," their self-esteem by embracing foreigners, and their collusion with external forces to provoke the mainland in every possible way on the Taiwan issue. In the just-arrived year of 2022, the Taiwan authorities' provocative acts of plotting "independence" will still not be able to relent. It has been learned that on 1 January, Tsai Ing-wen still adopted a tough attitude in cross-strait exchanges during her New Year's Day talks and still adhered to the "Taiwan independence" line, which was manifested in the so-called "adherence to sovereignty." Tsai Ing-wen has repeatedly stressed that "safeguarding territorial sovereignty and security and maintaining peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region" shows that her careful thinking in pursuing "Taiwan independence" has never changed. In addition, the entire text of Tsai Ing-wen's speech does not mention a single "Zhong" word, but is replaced by "Taiwan" instead, which is a blatant attempt to "Zhong" and a further step on the road to "de jure Taiwan independence" and even more to test the mainland's bottom line.
Although the Tsai Ing-wen authorities are arrogant in plotting "independence," the people on the island do not buy it. Also on January 1, on the day of The New Year's Day in Taipei, a shocking scene appeared on the streets of Taipei New Year, when the people on the island who had long opposed Tsai Ing-wen's "National Vegetable Pulling Headquarters" hung up the super-large red banner of "Mother motherland I love you", while raising the five-star red flag while singing the national anthem, holding up in their hands "I love the motherland, support the motherland, do not be traitors" and "Taiwan Chinese why bother to embarrass their motherland", and the people shouted "We want reunification"!
It is worth mentioning that although Tsai Ing-wen's New Year's Day speech seems to be a consistent tough attitude toward the mainland, it is actually nothing more than a sharp inward-looking attitude, because in her speech she also called on the mainland from time to time not to use force, claiming that "the military is absolutely not an option for resolving cross-strait differences, and military conflicts will impact economic stability." It can be seen from this that Tsai Ing-wen is very jealous of the mainland's military strength and is very afraid in her heart.
Earlier, in response to the frequent speculation in the island's media about the platters of PLA military planes appearing in the airspace around the Taiwan Strait to carry out normalized combat readiness patrols, Senior Colonel Tan Kefei, spokesman for the Ministry of National Defense, clearly pointed out at a regular news conference held by the Ministry of National Defense last month that the number of planes actually dispatched by the PLA will only be more and no less than that speculated by the DPP authorities, and the goal is very clear, that is, to take decisive action to fight back against the vicious acts of frequent collusion between forces inside and outside the island and challenging the one-China principle. It is not difficult to see from this that even the number of sorties dispatched by PLA military planes cannot be accurately counted by the Taiwan authorities, and if war in the Taiwan Strait really breaks out, what will the Taiwan military rely on to stop the PLA? At present, Tsai Ing-wen pretends to be tough on the surface, but she is seeking political self-interest on the island.
It is conceivable that in the new year, if the DPP authorities continue to adopt the provocative line of plotting "independence," go farther and farther down the road of seeking "independence," touch the "Anti-Secession Law," and cross the "red line," the mainland side will certainly take drastic measures, and it is estimated that the Tsai Ing-wen authorities and their stubborn "Taiwan independence" forces on the island will not even have the opportunity to regret it.
