At the end of the year and the beginning of the year, various literary works lists have been released. Critics and readers judge from their own reading perspectives, and finally produce a list of literary works in the eyes of the "other". In this process, in addition to the work itself, the author's "self-identity" will be more or less absent, and there will often be errors in understanding or over-interpretation, and some works that the author does not care much about are focused, and the works that the author values are often ignored. Not only to correct deviations, but also to provide young authors with an online platform for self-interpretation, self-recommendation and even self-"justification" of their latest works, the public account of Tianya magazine has launched a special plan of "Self-Evidence of Literature: Self-Recommendation List of Young Writers" from now on.
This list is open to young authors and is developed in the form of self-recommendation, and the self-recommended content is the most valued works of individuals published and published in 2021, and the genre is not limited. With no rankings, no judges, no fixed quotas, this list is, in a sense, a fluid and endless list, all written by young writers. The author's self-introduction, from another side, provides literary researchers and readers with a perspective on the text, avoiding the real work of painstaking efforts from being overlooked. Due to the limited vision of the editorial department, the coverage of specially invited young writers is certainly incomplete, and will be widely invited later; young writers who intend to recommend themselves can also send us special mailboxes ([email protected]) in accordance with the corresponding format, and we will publish them one after another after compilation.

Unlike the marginalized and nameless people I wrote about in the "Chaoshan Story Collection" ("Town Life Guide", 2020), "GrayLand" focuses more on the class of powerful township bosses. It adopts a restrained and steady narrative posture, juxtaposing the Chaoshan dialect and modern Chinese, and presenting the waves under the calm life through subtle events, with the meaning of "social history". In the structure of a short story, this is a difficult kind of writing. After its publication, "GrayLand" was reprinted by "Novel Monthly" and "Yangtze River Literature and Art • Good Novel", and was selected into the "2021 Chinese Short Story Annual Selection" (Huacheng Publishing House) and "2021 Short Stories" (People's Literature Publishing House) edited by the China Novel Society.
About the Author
Lin Peiyuan, born in 1987, a native of Chenghai, Guangdong, is a young writer and doctor of literature. He has won the second "Star of Zhong Shan" Annual Youth Masterpiece Award (2020), the fourth "Zijin People's Literature Star Short Story Award" (2016), and published the novel collection "Guide to Small Town Life" (2020) and "Prodigy and Tape Recorder" (2019). A Guide to Small Town Life won Asia Weekly's Top Ten Fiction Awards 2020.
Xiao Ke "The Pianist"

The Pianist was inspired by my neighbor downstairs. He played the piano downstairs for several years, but I never knew his gender, age, or occupation. This feeling is very magical, the piano sound is like a rope, and the corridor is like a boundary, locking the thing called "life" here, and because the worldly air cannot flow here, it gives people the illusion of eternity - I wrote this novel, in fact, not to write about the hardships of life and the plight of workers, but to express a more abstract concept, whether it is a "trap" or a "loop", in short, it is a concept that cannot be accurately defined and can only be felt. Sound has magical properties, because when sound appears, it means that it is detached from the body, and naturally has more traction, temptation, and confusion functions. In The Pianist, it is the sound of the piano that gives shape to the abstract concepts of life that I want to express, and the surreal ending is actually an answer.
Xiao Ke was born in Beijing in 1988. The novels have appeared in "Harvest", "October", "Tianya", "Youth Literature", etc., and some works have been selected for many anthologies and rankings. He has won the "Purple Gold People's Literature Star" Literary Award.
Cheng Xiangyang "Leave a House for the White Crane"

This is a family life novel about the reactions and feelings of an adult man who is worried about life in a broken child. Of course, the novel is based on real events, and I myself am the neurotic "he" in the novel. The child's fracture is like an iron anchor, salvaging the old uneasy past from under the surface of life and intensifying the antagonism between husband and wife. However, life will always continue to move forward slowly in the difficult digestion of uneasiness, and the "white crane" is the symbol of this "digestion and tolerance". To leave a house for the white crane is to give the family life a little tolerance and hope. To this end, I have examined and depicted fragmentary family life from different dimensions, trying to highlight the changes in the thinking of characters in difficult situations in the visualization presentation, and then construct a pursuit of "absolute security".
Cheng Xiangyang, born in 1979, a native of Zezhou, Shanxi, is a member of the Chinese Writers Association, a contracted writer of Shanxi Provincial College of Literature, and a student of the 33rd Young Writers Advanced Research Class of Lu Xun Literature College. His works have been scattered in "Poetry Journal", "Tianya", "Prose", "Youth Literature", "Young Writers", "Rain Flower", "Shanxi Literature", etc., and some works have been reprinted by "Selected Journals of Chinese Literature" and "Selected Essays" and selected into various annual anthologies. The Rooftop Botanical Garden is the second collection of poems I have published since I began writing poetry, and most of my works have been published in various journals. The collection of poems is a selection of more than 100 poems that I have created from 2015 to 2021. Divided into three series, the first series of "Reward Singing" is the true feeling between me and my best friend, and the translator's group of poems is the author's feelings after interviewing 8 senior translators; the second series of "Chants" is my depiction of the current situation of life in travel, hometown and current residence; the third series of "Meditations" is the author's perception of life, art and the world, which is a concentrated display of my poetic philosophy.

Joyce obsessively described the inadequacies of those momentous moments. Fu Yuehui "On the Way to the Earth"
Before the publication of the book of poems "On the Way to the Earth", I published very few poems, and almost no one knew that I was writing poetry. But in fact, I have been writing poetry since the beginning of 2000, and after I started writing novels in 2006, poems are still being written intermittently, and I have accumulated a lot of manuscripts. Of course, most of these manuscripts are immature, so I write and write by myself, and see for myself, which is a kind of "potential writing".
This made me think, if my whole writing, like writing poetry, has been in a state of writing and seeing for a long time, and has nothing to do with publishing, publishing books, winning awards, etc., then will I still write? I think I can still write, just like writing poetry, even if only one or two readers, including myself, will write in the process of writing, and my life will become rich. The day you write a good poem feels completely different from the day you do nothing.
On the Way to the Earth contains one hundred and twenty-six poems, most of which were written between December 2019 and June of last year, and only twenty were collected in the previous twenty years. These poems show the tireless practice of poetry by a poetry lover in more than twenty years, and can also glimpse a person's understanding of self and the world in the years from adolescence to youth to middle age.
Fu Yuehui, born in 1984, a native of Yunnan, lives in Shanghai. Write novels, but also prose, poetry, etc. He has authored more than ten novels, such as "Carved Boat", "Jinshang", and the novel collection "Wanzhongshan"; since 2017, he has opened a prose column "Yunbian Road" in the supplement of Wen Wei Po PEN; in 2000, he began to write poetry, participated in the 37th Youth Poetry Club of the Poetry Magazine, and authored the poetry collection "On the Way to the Earth".
Erxiang "One Man's Bus"

"One Man's Bus" is the most painful novel I've ever written, and I'm sure that the level of pain will be refreshed, and the feeling of writing when we first started writing a novel is too pleasant and deceptive. The novel has a lot of blanks and suspense, and the final ending is also open-ended, plating the story with a golden film and blurring the reader's vision, which is what I am trying to do. In my previous novels, no matter how the plot was reversed, the story line was always clear and the ending was generally certain. But in this novel I tried to leave a question that was not even clear to the author himself. I also try to do some exploration, about death, love, meaning and loneliness. These questions are also my own confusion, and I pass these confusions to the readers in the hope that they will get better answers. The final presentation of the novel is always a gap with the author's initial expectations, and my expectation is to shorten this gap in the next step of the novel.
Erxiang, female, graduated from Peking University and the University of Texas at Austin with a master's degree in computer science. Novels have appeared in Contemporary, Jiangnan, Furong, Novel Selection, Novel Monthly, etc. "Return to 2046" won the Chinese Science Fiction Nebula Award for Film Creativity Finalist. "White Powder" was shortlisted for the Chinese Young Writers Award. His works entered the 2018 Novel List of the Chinese Novel Society. Yang Biwei "Under the South Sea"
This book is closely linked to my own interests. I noticed that in the century-old writing of Chinese new poetry, "Nanyang" as a geographical/political/cultural concept is vague and lacking. The first series of this book, "Lower Nanyang", takes the history of the Chinese people going to Nanyang as the starting point, involving issues such as Chinese culture, regional civilization, global evolution, and the spiritual condition of people in postmodern society; the second series of "Going to the South" takes southern China as the writing object and is committed to highlighting the characteristics, history and values of the south in the grand narrative. For me, "Nanyang"/"South" is not only a regional sign, but also contains a southern-based cultural view. Beyond that, I'm sure travel enthusiasts will love this book too – in a way, it hides a map of Southeast Asia.

Writing is dancing in shackles, especially thematic writing. Because of the existence of "shackles", the imagination and narrative space will be oppressed by the subject matter, which greatly weakens the poet's freedom of lyricism. But it is precisely because of this that the appearance of the soul struggling to stretch in the forced lyrical space is touching. Compared with "pan" theme writing, the poetry collection "Hualuping Handbook" is a kind of theme writing in the "narrow sense". This kind of "narrow" theme writing has a certain degree of "passivity" in its writing behavior, it is more industrial, directional and purposeful are more obvious, this kind of theme writing is more difficult, it calls for and challenges a poet's outstanding writing skills, more acute poetic perception ability, and the poetic depth of the processing of theme materials.

Chen Chongzheng "Open the Door"

The short story "Opening the Door", which I wrote during the fight against the epidemic at Guangzhou Baiyun Airport, reflects the feelings of a doctor's home and country in the context of the new crown pneumonia epidemic from a small section. The epidemic has lasted for two years and caused huge losses, which is undoubtedly the biggest challenge to the fate of mankind since the new century, and almost everyone's life has been affected. As a writer, it is obviously wrong to completely ignore this reality, and how to express the spiritual upward part of the fight against the epidemic is actually a difficult problem. "Open the Door" defines time and space, presenting the different stories behind the three characters through a small accident of unlocking the lock, and expressing in a limited space to increase the density of the story. This short story is an attempt to face reality head-on, and as a novelist who is obsessed with fantasy, I can only praise myself here.

Qin Yumo's "Escape Technique"

Last year I wrote two novels about escape. A writer writes that the protagonist disappears in front of the house like water, witnesses his wife and children living in front of his eyes every day, but pretends to be a beggar and begs in the square, wandering outside the life he should be in as a bystander. The other is to write that the protagonist (a small civil servant) pretends to be deaf and dumb, has not spoken a word to an outsider for five years, and is accidentally broken by his wife to break a lie, that is, a short story "Escape Technique" published in the magazine "Port of Literature". Some writing may only make sense to itself, and very few people pay attention to the work of a humble author published in a publication that is not very important, but I cherish it because it is important to me. I wrote about finding a spiritual outlet. The novel is a closed vessel, impermeable at both ends, which is also my very real life and psychological state now. In fact, with regard to literature, I have always believed that what I love is not writing, but freedom, trying to seek other ways of getting along with the world, how to escape, and how to return. That's why I love this novel.
Qin Yumo, formerly known as Chen Wenshuang, was born in 1985 in Yongzhou, Hunan, and currently works for the Changde Municipal Federation of Literature. "3" was written in 2020, when I was 30 years old, I wrote 3 girls for 30 years, and the structure chose 3 subtitles to repeat. So, so many 3s, let me only use this number as a title. It may not be convenient for the title to spread, but just open a few pages and you will know how appropriate the number is. 3 is a stable number, a number that intersects cyclically, and a number that gives birth to all things. 30 years old is the node of a generation of young people. From 1990 to 2020, it was 30 years of rapid economic development, and three girls from the countryside to the city were driven by the times and chased the times. The latest whereabouts of the year they were born may also be a new starting point. Like the edge of a triangle, biting the other side.
