Therefore, in terms of the culture of our country for more than 5,000 years, we in China are absolutely long-standing, especially in terms of architecture, which is inseparable from the wisdom of the ancients and the culture of Peking Opera, under the inheritance of famous characters of each generation. For example, the Tiananmen Tower in Beijing, for such a long time, witnessed history, and relevant experts have also inspected, such a brilliant building was designed by a genius who was not yet 19 years old, and Tiananmen square itself was the main gate of the Ming Dynasty Imperial Palace at the beginning, also known as "Chengtian Gate", until the Shunzhi period of the Qing Dynasty, it was renamed "Tiananmen".
At that time, after Zhu Di moved the capital from Nanjing to Beijing, this area was also called the political center of the Ming Dynasty, so in the 15th year of Yongle, he began to gather people from all over the world who were famous for craftsmen, and then to rebuild a large-scale Beijing city, in which Pu Xiang began to design the imperial palace, and the area of design was Chengtianmen. Born in 1398, He went to Beijing in 1417 to start practicing The Gate of Heaven, when he was not yet nineteen years old, which showed how talented he was, otherwise he would not have been selected by Zhu Di.
He began to learn carpentry with his father when he was a child, the family has been born as a carpenter for generations, his father Kufu is also a very famous carpenter, before he was also in the palace as a construction carpenter management, in short, he followed his father to learn carpentry, coupled with talent, soon had a powerful skill. They were very famous in their old hometown, so the imperial court inquired about it and asked him to come and take charge of this task about the Ming Dynasty Imperial Palace, and the first task he received was to design the Chengtian Gate. After all, it was the main gate of the imperial palace, and it had to look grand and magnificent in any case, so he designed a wooden archway with yellow tile cornices and three floors in accordance with the Chengtian Gate in Nanjing at that time.
After four years, the Chengtian gate was gradually designed and completed, and it was very popular with the ministers of the DPRK at that time and Zhu Di, and he was also given the title of "Kuluban". Later, thirty years later, the Chengtian Gate was hit by a fire and partially damaged, so Ming Yingzong quickly ordered it to be rebuilt, so Ku Xiang redesigned it again, at this time he doubled the size of the Chengtian Gate, and this time it had changed from the archway to the palace-like shape.
That is, the Tiananmen Square we see now is simply the same as it is now, but it is slightly smaller than the Chengtianmen Gate, and in order to be able to design the Chengtianmen Gate, it can be said that he has worked hard, and he has put his life's efforts on it, and what he uses is the structure of mechanics, although it has been destroyed many times later, but posterity has also redesigned it with his design concept, and after six hundred years, it can still be seen that it is similar to the original appearance.
He has such a great contribution, naturally also reused by the government, but personally like to keep a low profile, so in his old age he returned to his hometown, posterity does not understand the place in architecture, he is still very patient to teach, it is such a great carpenter, only to leave such a magnificent building today, remembered by our descendants.
