In the Battle of Huaihai, Huaye fired 30,000 tons of shells a day, richer than the Nationalist army, where did these shells come from
The Battle of Huaihai was a very important battle during the Liberation War, in which the Central Plains Field Army and the East China Field Army, a total of 600,000 troops and 800,000 Kuomintang troops, fought to the death on the battlefield of the Central Plains, and the battle was extremely grand and tragic. The battle ended in the victory of the People's Liberation Army and the war in the area north of the Yangtze River.

During the Huaihai Campaign, the weapons of the Central Plains Field Army were poor and there were very few heavy equipment, but the weapons and equipment of the East China Field Army were not inferior to those of the Kuomintang Army at all, and at the time of the fiercest fighting in the Battle of Nianzhuang and the Battle of Chen Guanzhuang, the Huaye artillery fired an average of 30,000 shells a day, which was even richer than the Kuomintang army, so where did these shells in Huaye come from?
One of the important sources of Huaye shells during the Battle of Huaihai was the Dalian Jianxin Company, which, after the victory of the War of Resistance, was under Soviet control at that time. In Dalian, Lushun and other areas, there are many arsenals left by the Japanese. After the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the East China Bureau and the Northeast Bureau immediately sent people to Dalian to set up the Dalian Jianxin Company, of which the East China Bureau invested the most, and the gold accumulated in Shandong for many years was invested in the construction of the Dalian Jianxin Company and other arsenals.
Dalian Jianxin Company also had many Japanese technicians and engineers, and these Japanese technicians really played a big role at that time. In June 1947, Dalian Jianxin Company produced 90 tons of shell steel per month. In 1948, the factory survived 20,000 shells a month, and in 1949, it produced 40,000 shells per month. Most of the ammunition produced by Dalian Jianxin Company was transported to East China by Soviet and North Korean ships, so the warships of the Kuomintang army did not dare to intercept it.
In addition to Dalian Jianxin Company, the seizure also accounted for a large part. The shells of Huang Baitao's corps in the Battle of Nianzhuang were mainly derived from the Battle of Kaifeng. Later, Du Yuming led three corps to escape, and did not have time to destroy 100,000 shells from Xuzhou, which were later captured by the People's Liberation Army and used to fight the Battle of Chen Guanzhuang.
