In the history of our army's wars, fierce generals are like clouds, the stars are brilliant, and countless generals who were born and died for the country have experienced the era of the Red Army, and then embarked on the road of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the War of Liberation, and until the establishment of New China, they still fought to consolidate the people's power. In countless battles of blood and fire, they often threw their arms, held a large knife in their hands, and shouted: Follow me! Braving the hail of bullets, rolling with the enemy and falling with a knife in his hand. Organizing death squads and engaging in hand-to-hand combat with the enemy has always been a fine tradition of our army.
For example, the famous "Wang Crazy" Wang Jinshan, "Zhang Crazy Man" Zhang Renchu, "Iron Strike General" Liang Xingchu, "Xu Monk" Xu Shiyou, etc., there are too many to list, they are scarred, any one person's white blade hand-to-hand combat, death escape experience can write a book, of which Xu Shiyou has been the captain of the death squad eleven times. In addition to those fierce generals who are familiar to us, there are many fierce generals in our army who are not very close to the front of the stage, and they all have stories that can be sung and wept, so that the republic cannot forget, such as "Fierce Zhang Fei" and the founding major general Yan Wenbin.

General Yan Wenbin, his childhood was very difficult, when he was 6 years old, the whole family of 11 died of the plague, leaving him alone. At the age of 14, he joined the Red Army and became a "little red devil". Since then, he has regarded the Red Army as his home and has devoted himself to revolution.
The next day he joined the army, he joined the battle, and since he had never touched the gun, the first shot flew away, almost hitting the company commander in front. This company commander was born as a warlord, and the habits of the old warlord did not change, so he went up and beat him up. After the battle, the company commander inspected the gun and found that his bolt was missing, so he wanted to shoot him on charges. Fortunately, the company instructor arrived in time and took him in his arms, "This child, who has no father and no wife, regards the Red Army as a relative, joined the army yesterday, fought today, and also captured 3 guns and a pack of military uniforms." Such a good child, how can you shoot! Because of his bravery in battle, he joined the party a year later and became a platoon leader of the Red Sixth Army, but the company commander was demoted to squad leader because of his violation of discipline.
He was almost buried by his comrades-in-arms for a sacrifice
After the Long March of the Red Army, in 1935, the Red Second and Sixth Armies surrounded the enemy headquarters in the Zhongbao area of Xiangxi Province, the enemy was well equipped and very tenacious, and the soldiers could not attack it, and the casualties were not small. The regimental commander He Qingji was anxious and yelled for cadres above the platoon to assemble and form a 42-person death squad as an assault platoon, and Yan Wenbin was elected as the squad leader. They rushed up as if they were not going to die, Yan Wenbin kept throwing grenades, rushed to the enemy to fight the bayonet, after stabbing 2 enemies in a row, a grenade flew to blow him away, and suddenly lost consciousness.
The Red Army eventually took the enemy command. After the battle, comrades in arms were cleaning up the battlefield and burying their comrades who had died. Yan Wenbin heard confusedly: Dig a pit, drag it in and bury it! He felt someone dragging him and suddenly woke up: "Don't bury me, I'm not dead yet!" Frightened the comrades-in-arms, "Oh my God! You're still alive, and your life is so great! ”
During the Long March, he was hit by a battle in the leg and could not move, and the enemy came to clean up the battlefield. He had to pretend to be dead to escape the disaster, but fortunately the troops came back to save him. However, in the later Long March, there was a lack of medical treatment and medicine, the enemy pursued the soldiers tightly, his wounds were suppurative and maggot, and he almost died, and later his comrades-in-arms gave him some salt to sprinkle on it, which was miraculously good.
At the end of the Long March, the troops were severely reduced, there was no food, no medicine, and there was still a war, and only 29 people were left in the two companies. Just when he was about to starve to death, he met a chief who gave him the only bowl of fried noodles and survived. This incident made the general remember it for the rest of his life.
In the bloody battle, he was the only one left in the 200-man death squad
In 1939, the Jin-Cha-Ji Military Region attacked the county seat of Pingshan, which could not be attacked for a long time. Yan Wenbin, then the commander of the special agent battalion, organized a death squad of more than 200 people, and the leading team members rushed up. Yan Wenbin slashed left and right, slashed the enemy, and used a cluster grenade to blow up the enemy's bunker, and the enemy screamed bitterly. After breaking into the city, the command team members used the prepared gasoline to burn the Japanese barracks clean.
Unfortunately, the Japanese frantically counterattacked and sealed the gap in the city wall. After being blocked and blocked, the follow-up troops of our army did not follow, resulting in the death squad becoming a lone army and forced to fight a bloody battle with the Japanese army. The enemy was outnumbered, and the Japanese army engaged in street battles and hand-to-hand combat, and from the early morning of the late night of fighting, there were few death squads left, and finally rushed to the city wall and encountered the enemy.
Yan Wenbin fought with several Japanese troops, unfortunately hit by a bullet, had to be pressed under the japanese corpse, and after dark broke through to a field, was rescued by the Pingshan underground party.
During the Liberation War, Yan Wenbin entered Siye and made outstanding achievements in the Battle of Tianjin and the Battle of Crossing the River, the Battle of Hengbao, and the Battle of Guangxi, and then participated in the Korean War after the founding of New China. In 1955, Yan Wenbin was awarded the title of founding major general.
In his life, for the country and the people, Yan Wenbin has been the captain of the death squad 5 times, escaped from death nine times, and hung a color in eighteen places on his body. When he was in his 90s, when he saw the news that Japan did not recognize the history of its invasion of China, the general shouted: "Give me a gun, give it to the devils!" "In the twilight of the brave man's life, the blood is still full!"
