The Ming Dynasty created by Zhu Yuanzhang is the last dynasty created by the Han people in the history of China's feudal society, from a cow herding baby, becoming the lord of the world, Zhu Yuanzhang's life is full of legends, as the saying goes, a good Han three gangs, Zhu Yuanzhang can lay the world, in fact, because there are many people who fight for his life, the most famous military generals are Xu Da, Chang Yuchun and others.
The one we want to introduce today is also a fierce general under Zhu Yuanzhang, but his relationship with Zhu Yuanzhang is not ordinary, because he is also the righteous son of Zhu Yuanzhang and Empress Ma, and he is Mu Ying.

Mu Ying and Zhu Yuanzhang are fellow countrymen, both are from Fengyang, Anhui, Zhu Yuanzhang was born poor, so did Mu Ying, due to the perennial war, Mu Ying's parents died in the war, leaving him alone to wander, when he was 8 years old, Mu Ying wandered to Haozhou City, where he met the well-meaning Zhu Yuanzhang and his wife Ma Shi.
For Mu Ying's experience, Zhu Yuanzhang was deeply moved, Ma Shi has always been a generous person, she proposed to adopt Mu Ying as an adopted son, Zhu Yuanzhang immediately agreed, in this way, Mu Ying's life began to change because he met the noble Zhu Yuanzhang.
Since then, Mu Ying no longer has to go wandering, when he goes to beg for food, he can eat well, he can also read, fight, at the age of 12, Mu Yingxue began to follow Zhu Yuanzhang to the battlefield, for a military general, the best place to learn, is the battlefield, Mu Ying heard a lot of things, learned a lot of military essentials.
At the age of 18, Mu Ying was already on his own, was appointed as the governor of the account, and began to fight for Zhu Yuanzhang, in 1367, Zhu Yuanzhang found Mu Ying and said to him: You don't want to be surnamed Zhu in the future, you can restore your original surname Mu.
In 1368, Zhu Yuanzhang ascended the throne as emperor, why did Zhu Yuanzhang want Mu Ying to restore his original surname, the reason is actually very simple, once Zhu Yuanzhang became an emperor, and he was not related to his righteous son, it was impossible to become a prince, second, if Mu Ying continued to be surnamed Zhu, then in the future it would affect the relationship between him and other princes, as well as the relationship between the ministers.
In general, Mu Ying eventually restored his original surname Mu.
Although Mu Ying restored his original surname, Zhu Yuanzhang and his wife still regarded him as out of the way, and Mu Ying never disappointed Zhu Yuanzhang, whether it was as a tongzhi of the metropolitan governor's palace or a deputy general of The Western Expedition, Mu Ying made outstanding contributions.
In 1381, Zhu Yuanzhang sent Fu Youde, Lan Yu, Mu Ying and others to the west to pacify Yunnan, and with their full cooperation, the remnants of the Yuan Dynasty, liang wang, Dali guo, etc. were wiped out, and in 1382, Mu Ying learned of Empress Ma's death, and he vomited blood and fell to the ground in grief.
After Yunnan was pacified, Fu Youde led his troops, and Zhu Yuanzhang ordered Mu Ying to garrison Yunnan.
Since then, Mu Ying has been stationed in Yunnan to guard the southwest for the Ming Dynasty, in 1392, Mu Ying died of illness, Zhu Yuanzhang learned of it, grief- and he ordered mu Ying's body to be transported to Nanjing and buried in Nanjing.
Although Mu Ying died, the descendants of the Mu family still guarded Yunnan for the old Zhu family town.
The last famous descendant of the Mu family was Mu Tianbo, after the fall of the Ming Dynasty, Mu Tianbo followed the Yongli Emperor Zhu Youluo into Burma and was killed in the curse of water, and the descendants of the Mu family will be loyal and stick to the last moment of life.
