If Zhu Biao's death made him miserable, then Mu Ying's death completely drained his spirit.

Zhu Yuanzhang adopted more than 20 adopted sons in his life, and Mu Ying, Li Wenzhong and others were among them. As the founding fathers of the Ming Dynasty, their weight in Zhu Yuanzhang's mind can be imagined.

Mu Ying is the first adopted son of Zhu Yuanzhang, Zhu Biao was not born at that time, he always regarded Mu Ying as his own, and his feelings were no less than that of his own children.

After the establishment of the Ming Dynasty, Mu Ying was one of the six founding kings with his outstanding military exploits. After Mu Ying stayed in Yunnan to guard, Zhu Yuanzhang once said to him with great emotion: "If you guard the southwest, I will have peace of mind!"

After Mu Ying passed away, Zhu Yuanzhang posthumously crowned him as the king of Qianning with a very heavy heart, and buried him in Yingtian General Mountain, and his descendants guarded Yunnan for generations.

So, how legendary is Mu Ying's life, and why does Zhu Yuanzhang trust him so much?

At the end of the Yuan Dynasty, Mu Ying was born in a poor peasant family in Dingyuan, Haozhou, in that chaotic and dark era, it was very difficult for the poor people to survive.

But the house leak happened to rain overnight, Mu Ying lost her father when she was a child, and she struggled to live under the support of her mother. When he was 7 years old, the Jianghuai region fell into war, and the common people had to go out to escape the war under the ravages of war.

Mother took the young Mu Ying to follow the fleeing crowd around, not eating and sleeping well along the way, and it is very likely that she will die at any time.

While the mother and son were hiding from the scourge of war, Mu Ying's mother unfortunately fell seriously ill and finally died tragically on the way to escape. Only Mu Ying, who was lonely and helpless, survived alone in that era of war and chaos.

In the second year, Mu Ying was coerced by the fleeing crowd and wandered to Bozhou City. Fortunately, Zhu Yuanzhang and his wife took him in, and he saved a small life.

After that, Zhu Yuanzhang changed his son Muying to the surname Zhu, which is the origin of Zhu Ying. Under the influence of Zhu Yuanzhang and Ma, Mu Ying not only knew a lot of words, but also gradually learned to lead troops to fight.

After Mu Ying met Zhu Yuanzhang, his life changed dramatically. When Mu Ying was 12 years old, she began to work in the military camp of her father-in-law Zhu Yuanzhang.

Mu Ying, who was born smart and studious, finally officially entered the military career at the age of 18 after being taught by her father-in-law and by her father-in-law, as well as working in the military camp.

Mu Ying took one step at a time, first starting as a lieutenant in front of the tent, and later was promoted to commander by Zhu Yuanzhang, leading the army to garrison Guangxin, an important town in Jiangxi.

During this period, Mu Ying participated in many battles, and studied the art of war whenever he had time, which also made him quickly grow into a capable general around Zhu Yuanzhang.

In 1367 AD, 23-year-old Mu Ying led his troops to break through the water pass alone, and successively captured Chong'an and Minxi Eighteen Villages. During this period, Mu Ying, who fought bravely and took the lead, also captured Chen Youding's subordinate Feng Gubao.

After that, Zhu Yuanzhang saw that Mu Ying was an adult and had made great achievements in military affairs, so he specially summoned Mu Ying, hoping that he could change back to his original surname.

According to the record of "Huang Mingshi Speaks New Words", Zhu Yuanzhang asked Mu Ying: "Son, whose child are you?"

Mu Ying replied without hesitation: "I am your child, I deeply appreciate the great kindness of you and the queen, and I can't repay it in this life and this life!"

After hearing this, Zhu Yuanzhang said with deep relief: "You are my adopted son, even if you don't restore your original surname, you can't be surnamed Zhu anymore." Since you have been chanting the grace of deep Mu nurturing, from now on your surname will be 'Mu'!"

In the ninth year of Hongwu, Mu Ying was awarded the title of Marquis of Xiping for his outstanding military achievements, and obtained a Danshu iron coupon.

Five years later, Mu Ying accompanied Fu Youde and Lan Yu to conquer Yunnan, and since then he has been guarding the Yunnan region, becoming a barrier in the southwest of the Ming Dynasty.

During the period when Mu Ying was guarding Yunnan, he created two brilliant achievements in breaking the Luchuan River, and made immeasurable contributions to stabilizing the rule of the Ming Dynasty in Yunnan and even the southwest region.

In 1389 AD, Zhu Yuanzhang missed Mu Ying too much, and issued an edict ordering him to return to Yingtian, and held a banquet for Mu Ying to catch the wind. During the banquet, Zhu Yuanzhang said happily: "With Wu'er guarding Yunnan, I can sit back and relax in the southwest!"

In fact, Mu Ying's body had already shown symptoms at that time, because Queen Ma died in 1382, and Mu Ying coughed up blood due to excessive grief after hearing the news, which also caused great damage to his body and mind.

After that, because of Zhu Biao's untimely death, it dealt a greater blow to Mu Ying, and finally Mu Ying died in the prime of life. After suffering the pain of losing his wife and children one after another, Zhu Yuanzhang, the Taizu of the Ming Dynasty, also died 6 years later.

Mu Ying's life is full of many twists and turns, but she changed her life because she met Zhu Yuanzhang. His greatest achievement in life was to take care of Yunnan, and all this was to repay the kindness of his adoptive parents.
