Echo: Liverpool are interested in Milan player Casey and want to sign him in the winter window

Live Bar January 2, according to the Liverpool Echo, Liverpool are interested in Casey, but also interested in Keita's national team teammate Kamala.

With the January transfer window open, Klopp is likely to look to strengthen his side in order to launch a push for the Premier League title in the second half of the season. As Mane, Salah and Keita will be playing in the Africa Cup of Nations in January, they will miss the league.

The Liverpool Echo lists several possible reinforcements:

One of them is Frank Casey, a midfielder for AC Milan. While Liverpool have plenty of options in midfield, from Thiago to Curtis Jones, injuries and player contractions this season mean Klopp has had to rotate more. The Reds are likely to get a dynamic player with the best of his career just around the corner.

After this season's Champions League matches, Liverpool have made an offer for Casey, according to the Italian media ANSA. Casey's contract expires in the summer and while reports say the club wants to sign him at the end of the season, Casey will be free to talk to other clubs from January 1 and this month's offer could be the best chance to get him and Liverpool can get the player first.

There is also Ajib Kamala, an Olympiacos midfielder. Since signing from Red Bull Leipzig for £48m in 2018, Naby Keita has been tepid at Anfield. While his performances have improved recently, he has had a number of injuries and there is growing speculation that the club is keeping an eye on his national team mate Kamala.

Ajib Kamala has attracted the attention of many Premier League clubs, with the Reds rumored to be in contention. There are reports that Liverpool are following him and when he comes to represent Guinea with Keita, Klopp and the fans will have the perfect opportunity to examine him.
