Hua Lao, born in 1921, is a native of Jiaocheng, Shanxi. He excelled at an early age, and as a student, he began to care about the situation in the country. In 1936, he actively participated in military training organized by the school in preparation for armed resistance against Japan. After the July 7 Incident, he was even more determined to join the battle, so he resolutely joined the Anti-Japanese League's Jiaocheng guerrilla group, officially embarked on the revolutionary road, and joined the party in the same year.
After that, he was in charge of propaganda work, preaching the party's ideas and policies everywhere. Later, he served as the director of the Propaganda Department of the Jiaocheng County CPC Committee and the director of the Anti-Japanese National Salvation Federation, founded schools, mobilized the masses, and led the guerrillas to carry out frontal struggles.
During the Liberation War, he participated in several battles, commanded the soldiers to fight the enemy with arms, and made great achievements. After the founding of New China, he went to Hunan to carry out work and promote the construction of Hunan, and local agricultural and water conservancy projects have developed. In Hunan for more than 20 years, no matter what work he has done conscientiously, diligently and sincerely, and great people have praised him: "Tell the truth and do honest things." ”
During the special period, Elder Hua was not affected, he did not engage in factions, he fought steadily and steadily, and he was single-mindedly doing good things for the people, which was very much appreciated by great people. So after the death of the premier in 1976, he served as the first vice chairman of the CPC Central Committee and the premier of the State Council.
After the death of the great man, the country was in turmoil, and he resolutely stood up and began to struggle and made great contributions. After that, he served as chairman of the CPC Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, and in order to quickly return to the right track for the development of the country, he worked hard and quickly achieved results.
In 1981, he resigned and spent his old age at home with his wife. They live a simple but happy life, the two are together, reading newspapers and planting flowers, and simple little things become interesting. The house is well-kept, small and cozy, the two do not have the slightest shelf, the neighbors also praise the husband and wife duo for their hospitality and amiability, they have spent 27 years here, and the harmony of feelings is really enviable.
So what are the two important days of the year just mentioned? In fact, one day is the birthday of a great man, and a day is the anniversary of a great man. These two days, no matter the wind and rain, Elder Hua will dress up, take his family to the memorial hall to bow to the great man, and shout loudly: "Bow to the great leader, bow again, bow three times!" ”
He persisted in this matter for decades and never changed. It was the two most important days of the year for him, and one thing that lasted so long was enough to show his nostalgia and admiration for the great man.
On August 20, 2008, Hua Lao passed away at the age of 87.
