"In the diagnosis and treatment of the new crown epidemic, Chinese medicine has an efficiency of more than 90%, which is very convincing," Professor Zhang Qicheng, the first dean of the National College of Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, told the People's Daily health client. So the first thing is to use scientific methods, such as big data methods, to calculate the efficacy, so that it is convincing."

On how to improve the credibility and scientificity of TCM communication in cross-cultural communication? Professor Zhang Qicheng said that there are two main points:

On the one hand, modern science, including the method of evidence-based medicine, cannot be completely rejected, and Chinese medicine should also be good at using the scientific discourse system, and the discourse system that medically identifies now, to explain the problem. Like acupuncture research, there have been papers published in authoritative foreign journals recently.

On the other hand, to improve the credibility and scientificity of the dissemination of TCM efficacy, cultural dissemination is very important. "Our culture is not the philosophical thinking of the dualistic world, we are the thinking of the cultural philosophy of yin and yang, so that Westerners can gradually understand our Chinese medicine culture, and we must tell them that there are different discourse systems in China and the West." At the same time, we must adhere to our own discourse system and have cultural self-confidence in order to make them slowly accept."

"To spread the culture of traditional Chinese medicine, I think audio is more appropriate, the first person to listen to the audio has a certain level of knowledge, can systematically accept learning, and the audience who watch short videos such as vibrato may be more want to get some Chinese medicine tips," Professor Zhang Qicheng said, "I use audio to talk about the "Yellow Emperor's Inner Classic" has more than 15 million plays, if you add "I Ching" more than 55 million. This also reflects from one side that there are still a large number of people who like to study TCM culture in a more in-depth way."

"In summary, to improve the credibility of the transmission of TCM efficacy, we need to start from two aspects, one is science, and the other is culture," professor Zhang Qicheng said.
