In the vast Minecraft creative community, many players are willing to spend years to complete their huge creative projects. Many players have spent thousands of hours in Minecraft, brick by brick, creating their own vast kingdoms, recreating game scenes like Cyberpunk 2077's Night City, or real-worldly, well-known cities like New York City, and even a group of players working on creating an entire earth in Minecraft at a scale of 1-to-1.

Players named pkmncar showcased his latest creation on the Reddit forum, using up to 15 million squares to recreate Uzbek's "Registan Square", originally built during the Timurid dynasty between 1370 and 1507. The three "Islamic schools" that stand on the square were built over the next 200 years in a strong Islamic architectural style. According to pkmncar, it took him more than a year to recreate the buildings in Minecraft.

This isn't the first time a player has tried to recreate real-world historical monuments in Minecraft, but pkmncar definitely brings players a unique finished product. In past creations, players have seen huge buildings such as the Eiffel Tower and the Empire State Building, which are more modern and Western-style, so it is indeed refreshing to be able to see Islamic architecture.
