The "Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Tiangong Dialogue" stirred patriotic feelings

On the first day of 2022, the "New Year's Day Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Tiangong Dialogue" presented a special New Year gift to young students in Beijing, Hong Kong and Macao. In his New Year's message, President Xi Jinping was particularly concerned about the three astronauts who were "on a business trip" in the vast space, and used the method of "connecting heaven and earth" to conduct a dialogue across space with students from Beijing, Hong Kong and Macao. A resilient China, with the prosperity of the manned space industry, has realized the "end of the world" that Chinese is fascinated by every festive season.

It is not the first time that Chinese teenagers have a dialogue with Tiangong. Not long ago, Shenzhou 13 astronauts Zhai Zhigang, Wang Yaping, and Ye Guangfu gave space lectures to young students from the mainland, Hong Kong, and Macao at the space station. As early as 2013, Wang Yaping, as an astronaut of Shenzhou 10, conducted China's first space lecture in the form of live television in Tiangong-1. Putting aside the mystery and profundity of aerospace science and technology, aerospace knowledge and space science popularization have stimulated young people's yearning for space and enthusiasm for scientific exploration.

More importantly, this is not only a unique science education, but also a patriotic education that shows national pride. The space lectures of Chinese astronauts and the connection and interaction between tiangong and the ground have made Chinese teenagers intuitively feel the enhancement of the country's scientific and technological strength, and their pride and patriotism for the national space industry have sprung up. In particular, Hong Kong and Macao youth have also greatly increased their sense of belonging as Chinese.

China's manned spaceflight road is an innovative road based on complete independence and autonomy, and a transcendent road that starts more than 30 years later than the world's space powers but is in the ascendant. In the face of many new fields and cutting-edge topics, the vast number of scientific and technological workers are indifferent to fame and fortune, unity and cooperation, perseverance, demonstrating the outstanding research ability and innovation ability of Chinese astronauts, and carrying forward their scientific spirit of constantly seeking breakthroughs in the field of manned spaceflight.

Science and exploration are the enlightenment and encouragement given to us by the manned space industry; patriotism and dreams are the steadfastness and glory entrusted to us by the spirit of manned spaceflight.

Aim high. Young people's interest in science and technology should be cultivated from an early age, so that they can consciously set up lofty dreams and be determined to contribute to the development of the country's scientific and technological undertakings. This is an educational direction that is beneficial to the growth of young people into talents, and it is also a plan to enhance the scientific literacy of the people and the strength of the country.

As Zhai Zhigang said, "Where the spirit is, where the blood is, where the strength is." The Chinese spirit of manned spaceflight, which is "particularly able to endure hardships, especially able to fight, especially able to tackle tough problems, and especially able to dedicate", is one of the spiritual genealogies of Chinese communists. The sons and daughters of China whose blood is thicker than water, no matter where they grow, can draw strength from this spirit and chase the light towards their dreams!
