The second space lecture of the Chinese space station attracted heated discussion, and primary and secondary school students shouted "good magic"

Beijing, 24 Mar (Xinhua) -- The second space teaching activity of the Chinese space station was a complete success on 23 March. Zhai Zhigang, Wang Yaping and Ye Guangfu, "space teachers" from Shenzhou 13, once again brought a wonderful space science lesson to the majority of teenagers on the China Space Station.

On the afternoon of the same day, teachers and students of many schools in Beijing watched the "Sky Classroom" through live television.

After the astronauts taught, the teachers and students of Beijing Aerospace Middle School carried out a wonderful "ground comparison" physics and chemistry experiment in the lecture hall. "It's amazing. I was most impressed by the liquid bridge experiment, where water became a bridge under tension – a magical phenomenon that is not visible on Earth. Cai Minliang, a junior high school student, said excitedly. Shu Xinrui, who watched with him, wrote a lot of words on the lecture notes, and she hoped to write down some more knowledge and have the opportunity to use the space experiment equipment herself.

"This time I watched the space teaching experiment, and I felt that everything in the sky was magical. I'm particularly curious about the concept of time—what people often say about a day in heaven and a year on earth, how is time in space calculated? I'm going to find out by studying further. Wan Yuxuan, a junior high school student at Beijing Aerospace Middle School, said.

Ding Anqi, a primary school student at Beijing Bayi School, watched the Sky Class under the teacher's explanation. "It's amazing! The astronauts squeezed out a small water balloon with a water bag containing chemicals and a straw inserted on it, which quickly condensed into a small snowball. It is crystal clear, floating in space, beautiful and amazing! ”

Jia Xinfeng, a physics teacher at Beijing Aerospace Middle School, said that space teaching is very helpful for students to understand concepts such as "Newton's first law", and teachers further stimulate students' thinking by designing ground comparison experiments. Getting up close to life on the space station and letting children learn to think and ask questions is more rewarding than learning about it.

Liu Xuegui, principal of Beijing Aerospace Middle School, introduced that watching space teaching is an important part of the school's activity of "opening the sky classroom and feeling the spirit of spaceflight". The school opens a number of aerospace special courses for the senior grades, hoping that children will continue to learn from astronauts, think positively, have the courage to explore, and grow into a new generation of astronauts.

Liu Qiuxia, a teacher at Beijing Bayi School, said that in today's unique classroom, the magical little experiments made the children exclaim from time to time, and opened their curiosity about exploring space in a way that students liked to hear. In the future, the school will continue to use a variety of scientific and technological education methods to strive to disseminate aerospace knowledge and cultivate teenagers who arm their minds with scientific knowledge.
