We read all the lead to present a different history.
During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, a senior general of the Eighth Route Army named Chen Yuanlong served as deputy director of the Political Department of the Youth Column of the 129th Division of the Eighth Route Army.

When his father heard that his son had become a high official, he came to visit his son. After the brigade commander Xu Shenji learned of this incident, he specially asked the cook to buy a chicken and prepare to invite Chen Yuanlong's father to a meal. As a result, Chen Yuanlong directly gave the chicken to the wounded and sick after learning about this incident, and did not even leave chicken soup for his father.
Chen Yuanlong's father came here for another purpose, because the family had some debts, and he came to his son to ask for money to pay off the debt. After Chen Yuanlong knew, he took 15 yuan from his pocket and asked his father to take it home, and the 15 yuan was actually enough to pay for the road.
Chen Yuanlong's father was very angry, he knew that Chen Yuanlong had at least a few hundred yuan, and he could directly take out some of it and help the family get through the difficulties. But Chen Yuanlong said that he had other uses for the money and could not give it to his father. His father was furious and simply turned his head and left, never looking for his son again.
In fact, all this money was saved by Chen Yuanlong himself, but he was still unwilling to give it to his father. His money in the army is equivalent to public use, and any soldier who has difficulties can come to him for money. In Chen Yuanlong's mind, the warriors and troops were far more important than his father and family.
On April 29, 1942, the Japanese launched a large-scale sweep, the focus of which was Chen Yuanlong's New 4th Brigade.
After the brigade commander Xu Shenji issued the order to retreat, Chen Yuanlong not only did not rush to retreat, but instead took ninety elite cavalry and stayed at the end of the troops to block the Japanese army to ensure the smooth withdrawal of the brigade headquarters. During the breakout, Chen Yuanlong saw a wounded man lying on the side of the road, so he got off his horse and gave up his horse to the wounded man.
Because of the loss of his mount, Chen Yuanlong's retreat slowed down, and as a result, he was caught up by the Japanese army. Chen Yuanlong immediately engaged in a fierce battle with the enemy, but because he was outnumbered, Chen Yuanlong was shot several times in the body and died on the spot, only 30 years old. If it weren't for the fact that his guards risked their lives to drag his body back, Chen Yuanlong might not have been able to leave anything on the battlefield where the horseshoe trampled.
After Xu Shenji heard this bad news, he wept bitterly on the spot, in his heart, even if he killed more devils, it was not as valuable as a living Chen Yuanlong.
Many years later, the founding general Song Renqian also commented on Chen Yuanlong's sacrifice. He said that people inherently die, or lighter than Hong Mao, or heavier than Taishan, and Chen Yuanlong's death is heavier than Taishan.
