Cafe at the end of the world

author:Yura is mine

There are a few points in the book that I particularly like:

Every day there are a lot of people who want you to spend your time and energy on them. This "they" includes not only the people around you, but also advertisers and marketers and other people who are trying their best to occupy your attention. If you don't know exactly what you're going to do, time and energy can easily be occupied by them. Soon you will find that what you do every day is just what most people are doing, or what others want you to do.

When we do something we don't like, such as doing work we don't like, we feel empty inside. So we use food and shopping as a way to make up for our emptiness. We do jobs we don't like, and a big part of it is for the money. Then we use the money to make up for the inner emptiness that our dislike of work brings us. The more we spend, the more time we spend on jobs we don't like, and over time we form a vicious circle, leaving less and less time for what we want to do, and we will have more dissatisfaction with life.

The reason why people are afraid of death is that they do not have enough time to do what they want to do. But if you've done what you want to do, or if you're doing what you want to do every day, you don't have to worry about losing the opportunity to do it, and you can naturally let go of your fear of death. "In my past life, most of the decisions I've made have been in response to the expectations of others, such as family advice, the pressure of the cultural environment, and the opinions of others."

I think we should calm down and think about our "meaning of existence" and live for ourselves, so that we will not be swept away by the "reverse wave" and not lost on the road of ourselves.
