On the shore of the Yellow River, the Huaxia ethnic group is prosperous. Generation after generation of Chinese sons and daughters have gone forward and succeeded each other, stepped forward at the most dangerous time, charged into battle, and finally became a splendid country and mountains. Therefore, in history, there are such influential figures as the Ten Philosophers of the Bing Family.
There are many versions of the Ten Philosophies of the Bing Family, and there are two of them that are more widely circulated:
The Ten Zhe of bingjia refers to Bai Qi, Han Xin, Zhuge Liang, Zhang Liang, Li Jing, Li Ji, Tian Hoang Tho, Sun Wu, Wu Qi, and Le Yi.
The second bingjia shizhe refers to Sun Wu, Sima Rang Tho, Bai Qi, Wei Ji, Le Yi, Wu Qi, Zhang Liang, Han Xin, Li Jing, and Li Ji.
Leaving aside for the time being which statement is more in line with historical events, we will only say one point: Why didn't the Bing Family Ten Zheli have Wei Qing and Huo Go to the disease? The Han-Hungarian Hundred Years War, the Seven Battles and Seven Victories of Wei Qing, and the Huo Went Sick Seal Wolf Juxu, is the merit not enough to be listed in the Ten Zhe?
1. Do the Ten Philosophers have military writings?
Some people believe that Wei Qing and Huo Fuyi were not selected for the Ten Zhe, first of all because of the nature of this list: it is "Zhe" rather than "General". That is to say, the selected military philosophers are not selected as "Ten Generals of the Soldier Family". So, how should military philosophers be embodied? Some people believe that the important mark is to have military writings or military theories passed down from generation to generation.
In fact, such an explanation cannot be justified. Because of the ten zheli currently circulating, Bai Qi, Li Ji, and Le Yi cannot be regarded as military philosophers. In particular, Bai Qi, killing gods, or slaughtering gods, in people's minds, is completely incompatible with military philosophers, and the varied tactics on the battlefield and the effective use of strategy and tactics are very similar to Wei Qing and Huo Qi.1
Some people also said that Bai Qi wrote a book of soldiers, but it was not passed down. This statement is also a bit far-fetched, because we can also say that Wei Huo and the two also had military books circulated, but they were annihilated in later generations. In addition, Zhuge Liang in the list of ten philosophers has also been controversial, and there is no victory in the five Qishan Mountains, only the theory of governance, and no military writings, how can it be included in the Ten Philosophers of the Bing family?
2. Do the Ten Philosophers have disciples who have been passed down from generation to generation?
Some people believe that Wei Qing and Huo Fuyi were not selected for the Ten Philosophers, but also because of the role of this list: their military ideas have been inherited, and more famous generals have been trained, and the disciples who have been passed down from generation to generation have lasted for hundreds of years and thousands of years, such as describing a famous general in the later generations as "using soldiers like Sun Wu", which expresses this meaning. Compared with the famous generals, only the battle is left, and the ten philosophers are also left with thoughts, and the power of thought is the most powerful.
Such an explanation is also not self-explanatory. Bai Qi didn't even leave a soldier's book, how to cultivate disciples who have been passed down from generation to generation? What are the military ideas of Le Yi, Li Jing, and Li Ji? On the contrary, there are many famous battles left by the 4 of them. In addition, almost all of Han Xin's military ideas were embodied through campaigns, so weren't military ideas and actual campaigns one and the same? Who are his disciples?
According to the above criteria, only Sun Wu, Sima Rang Tho, and Wu Qi left behind the well-known military ideas, and later generations used soldiers to govern the army under their guidance. At the same time, it is recorded in the history books that Emperor Wu of Han asked Huo to learn Sun Wu's art of war, and Huo went to the disease to answer: "Gu Fang's strategy is like an ear, not to learn the ancient art of war." "Marching and fighting only depends on today's strategy, and there is no need to learn ancient martial arts." It seems that Sun Wu's art of war is not universal.
3. What is the truth that Wei Huo was not selected?
There is also a saying that the Ten Philosophers created a dynasty or country, they were strategic military experts who came and went, but Wei Huo and Wei Huo were tactical military experts, more "application" than "creation". However, as long as we look at Wei Huo's light horse advance, frequent beheading operations, and the strategy of great detours, great depth, and great interspersed, is there anyone in history who did this earlier than them?
Speaking of thousands of words, the truth that Wei Huo and the two were not selected is only two words: prejudice!
Under the influence of Sima Qian, at least from the Tang Dynasty onwards, people, especially the literati responsible for writing history, were prejudiced against the military achievements of Wei Huo and Huo. The poet Wang Wei said: Wei Qing was undefeated by Tianxing, and Li Guang had no merit. This is polite, Su Dongpo is scolding!
Su Dongpo testified that Emperor Wudi of the Han Dynasty would receive Wei Qing when he was squatting in the pit and defecating, "seeing Wei Qing in the toilet". And he has great respect for Ji Dian, "if you don't see the long children without the crown", you will not see the ji di without sorting out the clothes and crowns. Su Dongpo scolded: A slave like Wei Qing is known for "licking hemorrhoids", and Emperor Wu of Han saw that he was very suitable for Wei Qing's hobbies.
For Huo to go ill, a sentence by Mr. Sima Lao also attracted a lot of speculation: "The great general's sister Huo went to the eighteenth year of illness, fortunately, served the Son of Heaven." The question lies in the penultimate word, what does "lucky" mean? History has been interpreted as: Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty had the good of Longyang, from Han Yan to Jin Ribao 2 sons, the inner palace smoke miasma. Huo Fuyi was also one of the male favorites and was specially cared for by Emperor Wu of Han.
The "Biography of Shi Ji Yu Xing" also includes Wei Huo and Wei Huo in it, indicating that "Wei Qing and Huo Go ill are also foreign relatives and Gui Xing", as if they are afraid of being ignored by others, and specially add a sentence "But quite a lot of materials can advance by themselves", which has the meaning of no silver three hundred and two here.
After knowing the above records, it is not difficult to understand why some people say: Just like after the death of Wei Huo and the two people, Emperor Wudi of Han specially cultivated Li Guangli, he wanted soldiers to soldiers, generals, money to money, everything was prepared for you, just wait for you to fight monsters and upgrade.
At the same time, Emperor Wu of Han was considered to have the "elephant of chaotic Qin" in history, and Wei Huo and Wei Huo became an accomplice... Such prejudice made the battle achievements of Wei Huo and Huo believed to have been taken care of by the emperor and piled up with money and soldiers' lives. The battle of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty against the Xiongnu was considered to be a light start to the end of the war, which did not conform to the concept that as long as "the son of heaven has a way", the four Yi naturally obeyed and returned.
All of the above, how could Wei Huo and Huo be selected as the Ten Philosophers? Thankfully, both Wei Huo were included in the Seventy-Two Generals and the Seventeen Hundred Generals.
As long as it has contributed to the prosperity of the nation, even if it is temporarily buried or not understood, it will eventually be remembered by history. Because, they are the backbone of the nation!
