In my impression, He Bin has always been famous for his poetry in the literary world, his poetry has a sense of the times, but also full of passion, just like him, whether it is youth, middle age, or now the old age, always passionate, full of vitality, and active thinking, innovation. Even though he is full of white hair today and his steps are not as light and vigorous as before, he is not old, and from time to time he walks among the mountains and rivers and appears among the people. With his poems, Needles and Evils, Praise the Times, praise the truth, goodness and beauty.
The poet is not willing to be lonely, and so is He Bin, but when I write this article today, he is already a well-known landscape painter. I don't know when He Bin began to enter the painting world, but 10 years ago, when I participated in a collection activity organized by the Provincial Writers Association with him in Pan'an, it seemed that I had not yet seen any signs of him entering the painting world, but 10 years later, he was already a very active painter in the painting world. This is really called ten years of not seeing, impressive.
But then again, all art is actually connected, especially for poets, and seems to be closer to painting. We usually say poetic and picturesque, which is also the meaning of it.
As far as I know, many of his works of poetry, calligraphy and painting have not only participated in some large-scale exhibitions and activities organized by the state and relevant departments, but also published in some newspapers, magazines and books at home and abroad, and have received high evaluations and awards, such as "The Green of Life", "The Smell of Willow Waves", "The Fairy Wind Reiki Painting Pan'an", "RenjieDi Lingtiantai Mountain", "Yin in the Depths of Chongling", "Huangshan Xing", "Shuangsong Wangyue", "China Longshan Fenghe Map", "Pen as a Gun, Fighting the Epidemic Will Win", "Jinggang Red Waterfall" and so on.
Many of the above-mentioned works have been collected by some important departments in China, such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Central Party School Publishing House, and some well-known personalities, and some have also attracted the attention of international friends, such as a "Magnificent Qiankun Map", which was collected by the Dutch Embassy.
In mid-June 2021, in the Global Envoys (Leaders) Music Festival and Calligraphy and Painting Cultural Exchange Activity held in Shanghai, He Bin and the envoys of 18 countries in China conducted face-to-face exchanges on traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy, and he used simple and easy-to-understand language, through translators, to directly popularize the ins and outs of Chinese landscape painting to the ambassadors, focusing on Gu Kaizhi, the originator of painting, pointing out that not only his authentic "Luoshenfu" and other works have been circulated in the world, and there is a theoretical article "Painting Theory" that guides painting. This excellent art treatise can be said to be outstanding in the history of world art, because it appears at least 500 to 800 years and space earlier than the art treatises of the other three ancient civilizations and the "Two Rivers Valley Civilization".
After He Bin explained a historical fact thoroughly, he attracted the admiration of all the ambassadors.
At this cultural exchange meeting of envoys to China, He Bin's eighteen works were treasured one by one by the ambassadors to China of eighteen countries, and they said: In the future, they will purchase works from Mr. He through diplomatic channels and give them to their domestic military and political dignitaries as their national gifts.
Because He Bin was transferred from a poet to the painting world, his works have an intriguing artistic conception of "there are paintings in poetry, and poetry and painting blend with each other". For example, in his "Stone Drawing of the Return to the Boat", he ingeniously created a "shining point", that is, a boatman, with his hands tightly tied to the cable, in an attempt to bind the ship firmly and forever to the stone pier on the shore. On the inscription poem of this painting, he pressed this "flash" like a finishing touch. He wrote:
High cliff green cloud Hidden blue tile,
The distant mountains are like smoke.
If you want to tie the return boat to the stone,
Guard the Taoyuan family!
This kind of ingenious inscription poem not only enhances the artistic conception of the painting's water and milk, but also enhances the reader's appeal and imagination: it turns out that this boatman who has experienced many years of great winds and waves, he wants to tie the ship to the port stone forever, does not want to go out and sail again, but wants to stay in the warm home in the landscape, relatives and Taoyuan wonderland for life...
Such works and inscriptions in the picture can be seen everywhere in He Bin's painting collection. This is one of the reasons why his works are so popular, and I think this is where the literati (poets) and calligraphers have come together.
For example, when he was sketching and painting in Xianju County, Taizhou, Zhejiang, from time to time, he was fascinated by the mountains of The Immortal Residence and the water of Yong'an Creek, so the poem flourished, and immediately recited a 200-line poem of "I Sing a Song for Xianju", and painted six works with momentum and pen and ink, poetry and painting. Just as How Bin said: Painting is unscripted and not far away.
Any true artist will put his personal destiny into the changes of the entire era to temper and quench. And eventually became a member of this era, acura and spokesperson. As a poet and painter, He Bin's paintings have obvious epochal and people's nature, he pays attention to the fate of the country, the development of the times, and the lives of the people: national celebrations, anti-epidemic prevention and epidemic prevention, green environmental protection, emergency rescue and disaster relief, tribute to heroes and people's livelihood and well-being, etc., are all popular themes in his pen. While singing the praises of our great era with poetry, he also used his own multicolored brushes to display this acura on the colorful picture, so that after people saw it, they were more intuitive, more imaged, and more of a visual and spiritual impact. Therefore, looking at his paintings, there will always be a familiar, hot, and moved feeling.
The people are the mother of literary and art workers, life is the only source of literary and artistic creation, any excellent art is inseparable from life, painting is the same, He Bin is first of all a poet, the poet's poems are sung with his feet, only the poets who constantly walk on the earth, only the artists who emit the smell of fireworks on their feet with mud, can they truly create immortal masterpieces that are loved by the people. With the feet of a poet, He Bin constantly walked on the land of the motherland, and finally at the same time as the harvest of poetry, he also produced the fruits of painting and became an artist who integrated poetry and painting, which is a gift from the god of art to him, and it is also a reward he deserves.
He Bin has many titles in his life, as far as I know, he worked as a cadre in the organ after graduating from university, and later worked in the news, and he became the deputy editor-in-chief of a newspaper, and is now a national first-class artist, as for other titles such as dean, director, member, director, etc., there are no less than dozens, but I think the most eye-catching is the re-disciple of Mr. Lu Yushao, a master of landscape painting. As a painter, being able to become a disciple of "Lu Men" is not simple, let alone self-styled.
He Bin is 78 years old this year, this age is not too big at present, especially for a painter, it is the age of fine works and large works, coupled with the romantic mentality and poet's feelings that He Bin has in his bones, I believe that in the years to come, he will definitely create more and better poems and paintings.
