I have tried to find the Han and Tang dynasties of 1,500 years ago when "the palace was opened in nine days, and all countries were crowned with crowns" from the cracks of a brick and tile under the ancient city wall of Xi'an, but it was not as direct as Taizong's Duansu and peaceful, Lu Dongzan's sincere humility, and the demeanor of the ladies in "Bu Yuan Tu". The elegant and dazzling colors, smooth and round lines, and staggered and changeable compositions, rendered and outlined by Yan Liben, truly restore a grand event of friendly exchanges between the Han and Tibetan nationalities, and the shades of the brushstrokes all show the prosperity and strength, tolerance and openness of the prosperous Tang Dynasty as the center of the world. This work with the theme of the historical event of the marriage between Songtsen Gampo, the leader of Tibet, and Princess Wencheng in the fifteenth year of Zhenguan, brings great visual impact with its ingenious composition and bold use of color, and I have to admire the superb painting technique and profound cultural connotation of the author.
