Chaoyang Lingyuan has a well-known team that performs drama works all year round, bringing artistic enjoyment to the people, which is Lingyuan Xinfeng Performing Arts Co., Ltd. (formerly Lingyuan City Critics Troupe). Founded in 1973, this professional opera troupe has been inheriting the dreams of generations of Lingyuan opera people for decades, publicizing the party's principles and policies in the form of commentaries and performances, praising the new era, reflecting the rich atmosphere of life, and influencing the lives of the people with unique charm.
The troupe is a cultural business card of Ling Yuan, through sending plays to the countryside to perform, so that the people can understand the changes in life under the traditional art form and look forward to a better future. Years of persistence, years of enthusiasm, years of hard work, let the watching of the drama performance take root in the lives of the people. Performed 363 times in 2018, 430 performances in 2019, 380 performances in 2020, and 310 performances in 2021, an average of one performance per day, under the epidemic situation, it also stuck to the stage, sending spiritual food to the people of Lingyuan and surrounding cities and counties, and is the art academy troupe with the most performances in the province.
Bathed in the care of the party and the government and riding on the east wind of the revitalization of opera, in addition to performing traditional opera, the troupe rehearsed new plays closely around economic and social development, praised the new changes in the countryside, and achieved good results. Many large-scale dramas such as "Black Sister-in-law Entering the City", "Peach Blossoms on the Face of a Newcomer", and "Ladies of the Merry Manners" have participated in the China Drama Festival and the Liaoning Provincial Arts Festival, and won many awards. The modern commentary drama "LingshuiWan" created in 2018 won the "Five Ones Project" award for the construction of spiritual civilization in Liaoning Province. Every year during the Spring Festival, in response to the call of the party committee and the government, the troupe undertakes the Spring Festival literary and artistic performance activities, conscientiously plans, supports and encourages all small troupes in the city to participate in the Spring Festival opera stage, and carefully counsels and patiently helps in rehearsals, which promotes the synchronous development of urban and rural culture and lays the foundation for the rapid growth of opera in the folk. The first "Xiqu Evening" of Lingyuan in 2019 undertaken by the troupe, more than 300 opera lovers from all walks of life in the city actively participated, the program was colorful and magnificent, and the applause at the performance site rose and fell, showing the cultural heritage of Lingyuan drama and the good momentum of development and innovation in the inheritance. In 2021, in the activity of celebrating the centenary of the founding of the party, the troupe rehearsed the modern commentary "Liu Hulan" to commemorate the martyrs, read history and think of the present, let the people feel the bumpy development process of our party, understand the taste of life more deeply, and cherish today's happy life.
Lingyuan not only has commentaries, but also film and drama, Lingyuan has a long history of film and drama, and the performance of "Widow's Gate" in the 1980s won the first prize of provincial local opera tuning. In order to inherit and develop this unique local opera genre in our province, in early 2020, under the arrangement and deployment of the Lingyuan Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio, Film and Television, the troupe visited the old artists at the grass-roots level, excavated the essence of the most primitive Lingyuan shadow tuning of the ancient tune, and asked the playwright Wang Yushi to create a script, rehearsed the Lingyuan shadow tune play "The Laughter of Xianghuailing", which used the original ecological Lingyuan shadow tune opera spectrum throughout, and put the Lingyuan shadow tune play that had been abandoned for many years on the performance stage, and after repeated polishing, officially participated in the Liaoning Provincial Small Drama Tuning. Won the first prize; in 2021, he rehearsed Ling Yuanying's tune "Mother-in-law's Return to His Hometown", which was unanimously praised by audiences and experts for its unique performance method, touching storyline and enthusiasm of Lingyuan opera people in the first local opera small opera exhibition in Liaoning Province. In 2022, it is planned to create a large-scale Lingyuan Shadow Flirting "Lily Fragrance", so that Lingyuan Shadow will tune this traditional drama species of old trees to take new shoots, and green grass will be new! The troupe will inherit the tradition, vigorously inherit the local opera, and perform once a day, so that the people can enjoy the body and mind in the art and enjoy a better life!
