We know only one science— history. - Marx
As we all know, if you are surrounded in a war, you must break through, or you will basically be waiting to be annihilated. However, the person I want to talk about today, the 60,000 troops failed to break out of the siege, and one person broke through alone.

In 1947, the Kuomintang launched the Battle of Lunan to completely annihilate Chen Yi's East China Field Army, when Chen Yi abandoned Linyi and conducted mobile operations to find opportunities. Linyi did not take much effort to take it, which made Chen Cheng overjoyed, and ordered Wang Yaowu to send troops to annihilate Chen Yi in the Yimeng Mountains. In fact, Wang Yaowu did not want to send troops, he thought that Huaye's combat effectiveness was strong, and Chen Cheng's battle plan was somewhat risky, but in the army, he obeyed the orders of his superiors, and Wang Yaowu could only send deputy commander Li Xianzhou to send troops. Unexpectedly, on the way to the march, the commander of the 73rd Army was suddenly ambushed, and an entire division was annihilated. Wang Yaowu saw this and ordered Li Xianzhou to lead the troops to move immediately and join the other troops.
Li Xianzhou decided to take action the next day, but Han Liancheng said that the troops were too scattered and must be reorganized before setting off. Li Xianzhou felt that it made sense when he heard it, so he stayed for another day. Unexpectedly, when he was about to leave on the third day, Han Liancheng suddenly said that a regiment of his army was surrounded by the People's Liberation Army and had to go back. When Li Xianzhou saw that he could no longer delay, he ordered him to be pulled out. However, not long after leaving, Li Xianzhou's troops were ambushed by Hua Ye, and in just a few tens of hours, 60,000 people were completely annihilated, and none of them ran away, only the commander of the 46th Army was not there, but successfully escaped. After Han Liancheng returned to Nanjing, the Nanjing Central Committee issued a news report saying that Han Liancheng broke through alone, bravely surpassed others, and was commended.
Li Xianzhou and others were captured and sent to labor reform for a full 26 years. Later, after Li Xianzhou was released, he deliberately went to Laiwu. Revisiting the old place, I remembered that the battle of that year had never understood how Han Liancheng's division broke through. Later, when Li Xianzhou went to Beijing to attend a meeting, a leader of the central government told him the truth of the matter. It turned out that Han Liancheng had already been in contact with the CCP, and he successfully dragged Li Xianzhou for a day, allowing Hua Ye to complete the ambush, because his identity was not revealed, he decided to return to Nanjing to continue to lurk, so he escaped from the siege.
