The one who is destined for the sake of life is also used for discernment. Discerning is also the way of the heart. The heart is also the work of the Tao. The Tao is also the manager of the rule. The heart is in harmony with the Word, the word is in the heart, and the word is in the word. Correct the name and period, ask for the metaphor, distinguish the difference but not, and deduce the analogy without contradicting. Listening is the text, discerning is the end. Discern adultery by righteousness, and lead the rope to hold the straight. Therefore, heresies cannot be chaotic, and a hundred families have nothing to do. There is the clarity of both hearing and the appearance of not being condescending; there is the thickness of both, but there is no color of virtue. If you say yes, the world is right, and if you say no, you will be white and poor. It is the discernment of the saints also. Poetry: 颙颙卬卬, such as Gui Ruzhang, Ling Wen Lingwang, Brother Gentleman, the Four Directions as the Program. This is also true. (Xunzi Zhengming, Chapter 22, 10)

Conventions and naming are for argument. Arguing is the process of knowing the Tao of the mind. The heart is the lord of the Word. Taoism is the fundamental principle of politics.

The mind conforms to the Tao, the explanation conforms to the heart, the speech conforms to the explanation; the name is correct and agreeable, so that it conforms to the actual situation of things and makes people understand; distinguishes different things without mistakes, deduces various things without violating reason; in this way, when listening to opinions, it is in accordance with etiquette, and when debate, the reasons can be thoroughly understood.

Discern adultery by righteousness, and lead the rope to hold the straight. Therefore, heresies cannot be chaotic, and a hundred families have nothing to do. There is the clarity of both hearing and the appearance of not being condescending; there is the thickness of both, but there is no color of virtue.

Using correct principles to distinguish between adultery and evil is like using ink lines to measure the straightness of the curve, so heresies cannot be confused, and there is nowhere to hide the fallacies of various families. There is the wisdom of listening to the opinions of all sides, without the face of arrogance; there is a lot of tolerance, without the look of boasting virtue.

If one's own doctrine can be put into practice, the whole world can be governed well; if one's own doctrine cannot be carried out, one will manifest one's own righteousness and make oneself obscure. This is the argument of the saints. In the Book of Poetry, it is said: The physical appearance is meek and high, the character is like Jue and Zhang, and the wonderful reputation is good. The gentleman of Hele Pingyi, the world took him as an example. That's what it says. Yóng, respectful and gentle look. Áng, high ambition. Kǎi tì, with compassion, gentle and happy and approachable.

If you can do it well, do it according to your own ideas. If you don't have an idea, if you can't do it well, you will follow someone who is smarter than yourself. Our aim is not to compete, but to get things done.
