The Son of Heaven has no wife, and the Devil has no match. There is no courtesy in the four seas, and there is no suitable for it. Enough to do, to treat the person and then enter; to speak, to wait for the official and then command. Do not see, do not listen and be wise, do not say but believe, do not worry and know, do not move and work, and tell the best. The Son of Heaven is also the one who is the most powerful, the form to the most important, the heart to the healer, the will to be blameless, the form to be laborless, and the supreme respect. Poetry: Under the whole world, mo fei wang tu; lead the coast of the land, mo fei wang chen. This is also true. (Xunzi Junzi Chapter 24, 01)

The Son of Heaven is supreme, that is, no one else is equal to him. Wife, Qi, equal. The spouse of the Son of Heaven is not called "wife" like the spouse of the common people, because the Son of Heaven is noble and noble, and no one can sit up with him, not even his spouse, and the wife, Qi Ye, has the meaning of sitting on an equal footing, so it can only be called hou, which is an appendage of the Son of Heaven. The Son of Heaven is within the four seas, and no one receives him with the courtesy of treating guests, which means that no one can be his master.

Under the whole world, there is no royal land. The world is already my own, I am the master, why should I do the courtesy of the guests. The so-called guest follows the master.

Tianzi's feet can walk, but he must wait for the guidance of the protocol officer to go forward; the mouth can speak, but it must wait until the official who transmits the will to issue an order; the Son of Heaven can see without personally seeing, he can hear clearly without personally listening, he can win the trust of the people without personally speaking, he can understand without personally thinking, and he can have an effect without personally doing it, which means that the subordinate officials of the Son of Heaven are extremely complete. The Son of Heaven is extremely powerful, his body is extremely comfortable, his state of mind is extremely pleasant, his ambitions are not frustrated, his body has nothing to tire, and his noble position is incomparable. The Book of Verses: There is no place in the whole world that is not the land of the Son of Heaven; there is no one in the four seas who is not a subject of the Son of Heaven. That's it.

This chapter is mainly about the status, rewards, punishments, appointments and removals of the Son of Heaven, who has the supreme authority, which is the guarantee of governance, and this authority ensures the normal operation of the ceremonial order.
